WHAT MAKES A HUB SMART?Each hub provides several travel options in one place like bus service, scooter-sharing, bike-sharing and more. What makes the hubs “smart” is an interactive digital kiosk known as “IKE” which provides access to an app to plan for your local transportation trip called Pivot as well as access to Wi-Fi, emergency calling, social services, maps and listings of restaurants, shops and activities.

SMART MOBILITY HUB – AMENITIES BY LOCATION

SCOOTER CHARGING STATION PILOT PROGRAMIKE Smart City launched its inaugural scooter docking and charging program at three Smart Mobility Hubs (1, 4 and 5 on the front map). Each is equipped with six scooter docks, charging cord and indicator light and posted instructions. Riders can redeem a fast-cash reward by plugging in a scooter and scanning a QR code. You’ll be presented with an option to redeem via your choice of Venmo or PayPal. Typical charge time of a scooter is approximately six to eight hours.

COGO BIKESA fleet of traditional docked and electric bikes (e-bikes) are available at some hub locations. Each e-bike can reach speeds of 20 miles per hour and has a 32 mile range on a full charge. The electric pedal-assist gives riders a boost, supports longer trips, and helps a wider age and ability range than traditional self-powered bikes. E-bikes can either be parked at a CoGo station or locked to a bike rack.

CoGo has an equity program called CoGo for All. It provides eligible participants with a $5 annual membership and unlimited 45-minute classic bike trips ($.05 per minute for rides longer than 45 minutes). The program is available to all Central Ohio residents, aged 18 and older that receive Medicaid, SNAP (WIC EBT AND EBT), or a discounted utility bill. To enroll in the program, residents can visit CoGoBikeshare.com/for-all.

SAFETY AND SANITATIONIKE kiosks are cleaned every day using a multi-surface disinfectant that kills 99.9% of viral and bacterial pathogens on contact. All surfaces of the kiosks are thoroughly disinfected and touchscreens are treated with a photocatalytic nanotechnology coating, which has been proven to neutralize harmful pathogens. CoGo Bike Share disinfects all high contact surfaces on its bikes each time they arrive in the depot. In addition, the vans used to transport bikes are disinfected at the start of each shift. Personnel wear gloves when handling bikes and face coverings are mandated.
