How to use Smart Card Entry/Exit : Entry-Exit Mismatch : Maximum period of stay : At entry, hold your card close to machine for the gates to open. Do the same at destination station for exit. Every entry into the station must be followed by an exit from the destination station. In case of mismatch, charges will be collected as per DMRC rules. The maximum stay permissible in the Metro station is 170 minutes if entry/exit is from different stations. Within the same station it is 20 minutes.
