“Mom’s circle” welcomes all parents at Lutherhaven this summer
Parents of young children are welcome to join together this summer at Olympic Lutherhaven on Wildcat Lake on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. beginning July 10. There’s plenty to do – trees, plants, wildlife, playground equipment, water and sun! Bring snacks, beach towels, chairs etc. and spend the afternoon with other parents and kids. What is Lutherhaven? It is a small private camp on Wildcat Lake owned by six local Lutheran churches. There are modern bathrooms onsite, a small playground and beach, a dock and some water equipment.
To get to Lutherhaven from Silverdale, take Newberry Hill Road out of town, turn left on Seabeck Holly Road, turn right on Holly Road and go about two miles, passing the Wildcat Lake County Park. The Lutherhaven driveway is just past Wildcat Lake County Park on the same side of the road. If it helps, put this address for Wildcat Lake Park into your GPS: 9375 NW Holly Road, Bremerton, WA, 98312. Questions? Call/text Intern Marietta at (712) 890 9882 or email her at [email protected].
Friday Field Trip Fun | Rocky Brook Falls | July 26th
Want to have a little adventure? Join our Fun Friday Field trip to Rocky Brook Falls—It’s only about a 200 yard walk through the woods on a pretty flat trail with an amazing waterfall at the end. Young and old can easily make this walk. Wheelchairs may be a bit of a struggle though. Kids can splash about in the water and climb on rocks. Adults can enjoy the nature, take pictures, and climb the rocks too! Dogs on leashes are allowed. Meet at the church at 10am to carpool/caravan to Brinnon. It’s about an hour’s drive from the church to Brinnon. Sign up on your ministry card today.
