The new exxibition of Slav Bakalov tastes like a good breath of healthy mountain air. He is a maker of many things – movies, paintings, books - all of them made with great imagination. And you just wander does he ever have time to do his ordinary daily tasks besides the art. He is surely a great master of national and international level. He has received numerous awards and envious comments.

All of his characters, situations, emotions and passions were put into colorful compositions on the canvases. The sharp and erudite thought of the artist, his filtered through the years figurative expression, the liberated erotic emotionality and the sense of self-irony, humour and satire together with his incredible sense for the Bulgarian spirit – all this defines the utmost genuineness of the artist in several genres of the art of painting. Slav Bakalov makes drawings, aquarelles and oil on canvas paintings, in which he depicts the culture of the Bulgarian village, also he works on landscapes, erotic female images, the atmosphere of the Bulgarian town, the political and social stupidity.
