Skyline Conference Women’s Basketball Game Yeshiva University Maccabees vs. St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn Bears

2017 –18 Yeshiva University Maccabees Basketball Basketball

Yeshiva vs. St. Joseph’s Brooklyn Tonight, the Yeshiva University women’s basketball team will

host St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn, in a Skyline Conference matchup, at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

Yeshiva is currently 2-9 overall. The first win of the season came on opening night, as the Maccabees defeated the Lions of The King’s College, 59-36. Yeshiva earned a Skyline win over Sarah Lawrence College, 67-49, back on November 30.

The Bears won both meetings over the Maccabees last season. Michal Alge has already produced seven double-doubles to start

the season. She is currently ranked second in the Skyline with an average of 15.1 rebounds per game.

Thanks to her strong effort, Alge has earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll in each of the first four weeks to start the season. She also earned Honorable Mention accolades by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association, back on December 4.

For the season, Nicole Bick leads the team with an average of 14.7 points per game and 1.8 assists per contest. Alge is averaging a double-double with 13.4 points and 15.1 rebounds per game. She also leads the team with 27 total steals and seven total blocks.
