Skyline nurtures relationships across the state and serves as a role model to congregations and organizations as they seek to serve others in their own communities. Skyline Urban Ministry Skyline’s mission is to impact lives to empower those in need, and to address the roots of poverty in OK Throughout each of Skyline’s programs, dignity is our key value. Skyline treats each client with a sense of dignity and promotes the client’s self-worth. Each client receives face-to -face, one-on-one interaction with our staff members and with volunteers. Skyline’s volunteer base is its greatest asset. Each year over 250 individuals provide in excess of 18,000 volunteer hours living out the Biblical mandate in Matthew 25 by serving the “least of these.” Christmas Grace provides Christmas gifts for hundreds of families each December. The Prom Dress Event provides “one-time-worn” prom dresses for young ladies who otherwise would be unable to take part in this special “rite of passage” event in a young lady’s life. Skyline Jets After-School Program

Jets provides faith and character development with our five year rotating curriculum (Future Shapers, Earth Keepers, Community Builders, Peace Makers and Culture Bearers) teaching:

peacemaking skills

conflict resolution

nonviolent communication

community involvement

environmental awareness

Focusing on the well-being of the whole child, Jets provides a safe and caring alternative for after-school time.

Jets meets for two hours each day after school and operates in collaboration with five elementary schools in OKC.

Jets provides a three-week Summer Academy, and three day boys and girls camping trip.

The Community Charity Eye Clinic provides free eye exams and low cost lenses for residents of Oklahoma County. Eye exams and the first pair of glasses are free for Oklahoma County School children from low income families.

Donate reading glasses

The Skyline Food Pantry, through its partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, is able to provide food for over 7,500 families each year.

The Skyline Food Pantry operates as a "client choice pantry" where clients can select foods, based on their family size, food preferences, and dietary needs. The Pantry serves as a "model choice pantry" for the Regional Food Bank. Many other organizations have toured the Skyline Food Pantry to see how it operates. The Pantry is open Monday through Friday.

Skyline Food Pantry is also a proud Partner Agency of the United Way. This association will enable Skyline to better serve Oklahomans in the fight against hunger.

Alive in Christ on Saturday Night provides Communion, worship, and a hot meal for the homeless each Saturday night at 6:15 PM. Volunteer groups are needed to help prepare and serve hot meals on Saturday nights.
