Why Have an Opening Title Sequence?

The significance of an opening title sequence is that it introduces the film to the audience and tells them what it is about. Also it tells the audience who made the film and who is starring in it. The bigger named actors are shown first so that the anticipation of the film from the audience rises. Finally, different colours need to be used depending on what genre of film it is and therefore in this sequence the darker colours are used to connote danger and anger.

What Have I Learnt?

I have learnt that the titles of the actors are key in lifting the excitement of the audience for the film. Furthermore, the colours and action I have on screen must represent the genre of film I choose and give an insight to the audience of what the film is about. Hopefully this can enable me to make the best possible opening title sequence I can.
