Welcome to HEAD Racing 2012 / 2013. This brochure contains products «normal»

skiers will never see, never touch, never ski. The equipment on the following pages

is developed for and by some of the fastest athletes that ever lived. You are among

the few to directly profit from their know-how and commitment – and might beat

them to the finish line when your time has come.

HoW It WorKS. Skis experience maximum flex at

the end of a turn. At this moment,

an active microchip releases energy

into the piezoelectric fibers of the

tail – with electricity travelling at

the speed of light, this happens in

fractions of a second – the tail of

the ski then stiffens up, immediately

increasing rebound for maximum

acceleration at the end of the outturn.

by stiffening the tail of the ski in the end of a turn – capturing speed for the next one.

Presenting the innovative Freeflex Pro System we focus on a new level of perfor-mance: Due to reduced stand height the gliding band is now much closer to the ski boot and our free-gliding heel allows the ski to flex unimpeded. This ensures consis-tent release values, reduced risk of injury and even more power and precision stee-ring your skis.

rAce Pro Heel

The reduced stand height corresponds to the FIS regulations. This gave us the op-portunity to redesign the heel track, ma-king it 1mm higher and 8mm wider for even more stability and direct power transmissi-on. Moreover, increased size of the gliding inserts reduces friction and provides even smoother and more consistent release performance in all skiing situations and conditions.

rAce dIAGonAl

Diagonal Toe tuned for racing purposes. Due to its higher release force vertically than horizontally, it holds up to the high backward lean forces in racing.
