T&A is currently the third-largest travel segment, ranking right after flights and hotels and accounting for 10% of global travel revenue: according to the latest surveys, more than 95% of all travellers booked an organized tour, visited a museum or reached one specific attraction. Among these travellers, a good 50% purchases T&A once they reach the chosen destination: letting them know the advantages of booking in advance (e.g. a decreased risk of scams, proper information, reliable customer support and so on) can at the same time improve travel quality while extending the traveller’s length of stay. Offering activities can result in a win-win situation and represents a good chance for up- and cross-selling, both for travel agencies and tour operators. In the following pages, you’ll find the largest T&A offer available in Rome: prime tours, low-budget services, visits to all the main touristic attractions at different prices and times of the day, experiences created for those who already know the city, guided or independent day-trips to Italy’s best destinations for arts and culture. Because Tours & Activities are, to us, anything but ancillaries. AT A GLANCE: Effortless. We developed the new tour pages’ layout to make the consultation easy and smooth. INDEX:

#UnescoJewelsofItaly We feature monolingual walking tours in the Eternal City or Full Day Tours outside Rome (Rome Countryside, Assisi, Tivoli, Capri, Pompeii, Positano, Florence or Venice) for small groups who desire to discover the cultural heritage with a special attention to Italian Unesco Sites and the local gastronomy. We guarantee skip the line access to museums and cultural sites, with professional and authorized local guides. #UnescoJewelsofItaly as of July 2019, Italy has 55 sites featured on the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites list, making it the #1 country on the planet with the largest number of world "cultural" heritage sites The Unesco World Heritage Sites are places of cultural or natural importance to the common heritage of humanity; Carrani Tours - I Love Rome offers products and services throughout the entire territory of Italy, discovering most of these important sites: Pompeii and its Ruins, Assisi & St. Francis Basilica, Amalfi Coast, Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Tivoli and its Villas and the Historic Centre of Rome. Passion and professionalism builds a network of tours and visits, counting with more than 800.000 Travellers per year, from all over the world. UNESCO, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is known as the "intellectual" agency of the United Nations; it was created in 1945 in order to respond to the firm belief of nations, forged by two world wars in less than a generation, that political and economic agreements are not enough to build a lasting peace. UNESCO strives to build networks among nations that enable this kind of solidarity building intercultural understanding: through protection of heritage and support for cultural diversity; the idea of World Heritage is created to protect sites of outstanding universal value; while each World Heritage Site remains part of the legal territory of the state wherein the site is located, UNESCO considers it in the interest of the international community to preserve each site.

3T AM VATICAN MUSEUMS TOUR OPERATOR PARTNER EXCLUSIVE PARTNERS ENTRANCE! SKIP THE LINE! Sistine Chapel on your own: exclusive entrance at opening The 54th gallery of the Vatican Museums is the famed Sistine Chapel. Completed around 1483, the Sistine Chapel is arguably one of the most admired sacred spaces in the world: still used for religious purposes such as the Papal conclave, the process through which a new Pope is chosen, it houses some incredible artwork. The amazing frescoes located within are legendary: Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement is world-famous and even appeared in movies - think Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons. Being such a gem, the Sistine Chapel ends up being the most visit area of the Vatican Museums: it’s almost impossible to access it when the crowds are away. Almost, we said. Because our special early access ticket will actually allow you to enter the Chapel at a privileged time, the opening, before anybody else and before the general public is granted access. And, as the entrance ticket has no time limits, you’ll have the whole day to explore the rest of the Museums, at your own pace. Reach our meeting point in the Vatican area and meet our assistant: they’ll let you in skipping all the lines through our exclusive official partners’ entrance, you’ll walk inside the empty halls and corridors and you’ll finally see the Stories of Moses, the Stories of Jesus and Michelangelo’s Last Judgment. If you dream to see the Sistine Chapel in an intimate atmosphere you just can’t miss this tour! 53,00€ per person Where Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel Includes Early Entrance tickets with no line Departures Daily at 7:20 am except Sundays and religious holidays Blackout Dates

For a more immersive experience, choose this option including a map of the Museums, a complete pre-recorded audio-guide in 10 different languages and a special souvenir: the Art and Faith DVD with a full description of the Vatican City.

In the Heart of Rome Masterpieces of Rome in a half day tour #UnescoJewelsOfItaly 4M PM SKIP THE LINE! GROUP MAX. 30 PARTICIPANTS Ancient basilicas and underground catacombs Rome’s churches are among the most beautiful and ancient in the Western world: spend an afternoon discovering some of them on this guided tour. Reach us at our meeting point, where you’ll meet your professional guide who’ll provide you with a convenient audio receiver and earphones, to make sure you won’t miss a single word. We’ll visit Saint Mary Major, an ancient, stunning Basilica. It was built on the summit of the Esquiline Hill: its original architecture was classical, maybe to convey the idea the place represented the ancient Imperial as well as the Christian Rome. Despite several additional construction projects and damages, the Basilica retains the core of its original 442 AD structure. Even more ancient, Saint John Lateran Basilica: the oldest public church in Rome as well as the highest-ranked papal major basilica. It stands over the remains of a military Roman imperial fort established in AD 193 that was later converted into a place of worship and suffered several damages due to earthquakes and fires: the stunning façade as it appears today was completed in 1735. In the nearby, the Scala Sancta (the Holy Stairs): white marble steps encased in wooden ones. According to Catholic tradition, they formed the staircase leading up to the praetorium of Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem on which Jesus stepped during his Passion. And talking ancient, the Catacombs of St. Callixtus deserve a visit: these underground burial places, outside the walls of the city, were carved through tuff, a soft volcanic rock. More than fifty martyrs and early Popes were buried in this huge graveyard. 50,00€ per person 40,00€ per child (3-7 years old) Free of charge per Infant (0-2 years old) Where Basilica of St. John in Lateran (visit inside) Holy Staircase

Reach Piazza Navona, with the Bernini-designed Fountain of the Four Rivers: the legend says that the author positioned the Rio de la Plata river personification as if it was fearing the facade of the church in front of it, built by his rival Borromini. Our night tour will turn even more spectacular when we’ll board our motorcoach. We’ll pass close to Castel Sant’Angelo, the former Mausoleum of Hadrian turned by the popes into a fortress that is directly connected to the Vatican; we’ll see the majestic beauty of the lit dome of St. Peter’s Basilica and the romantic charm of the tiny Tiberina Island; we’ll cross the river Tiber to get to the Mouth of Truth, which became a legend after the release of the classic movie Roman Holiday. The motorcoach tour will continue overlooking Circus Maximus and the Palatine Hill and will end close to the Colosseum: glowy with a suggestive yellow light, the symbol of Rome stands quiet and majestic at the heart of the Eternal City. 57,00€ per person 45,60€ per child (3-7 years old)

Tour ends after approximately 4 hours in Colosseum area M10 PM SMALL GROUP MAX. 10 PARTICIPANTS Luxury dinner with superior wine pairings in the Pantheon area Group sizes of no more than 10 persons Spoil yourself after a long, busy day spent around Rome sightseeing: have dinner in a group of fewer than 10 people in a stunning, exclusive location in the Pantheon area. Our trusted local gourmand will be your guide for this indulgent evening: find them at our meeting point in Piazza Della Minerva and reach the elegant, family-run restaurant that we reserved for you, where the owners will greet you with a smile and their typical Italian style. This surprising place doesn’t only offer delicious food in a stunning location: it also owns a prestigious historical wine cellar, built during ancient times and discovered during the renovation works of the palazzo. It was only on this occasion that a majestic Roman structure was identified at the cellar floor: entirely made of squared blocks and incorporated in the sixteenth-century building that lays right above. Our aperitivo will be here, on the cellar floor: a glass of sparkling prosecco wine, paired with a platter of traditional cured meats and cheeses from different Italian regions, just to whet your appetite. Afterward, you’ll move on to the actual dinner: a traditional dish of paccheri pasta with cacio e pepe sauce, followed by beef or fish course and a side of cheese and vegetables. Every dish will be, obviously, paired with a glass of superior wine carefully selected by the restaurant’s sommelier, and the dinner will end with a selection of desserts: an immersive experience in Italian food history and culture that you won’t forget. 108,00€ per person (18-99 years old) Not suitable for children Where Elegant restaurant close to the Pantheon Includes

M9 AM-PM TIPS & TRICKS: ROMAN FOOD TRADITION SMALL GROUP MAX. 12 PARTICIPANTS Rome food tour Group sizes of no more than 12 persons Foodies of the world, unite! Whether you’re a seasoned gourmand or just a food lover wishing to find out more about Roman cuisine and Italian food traditions, reach our meeting point. You’ll join our local food connoisseur guide for a food walk, in a group of no more than 12 people (and yes, you’ll try and taste lots of different treats!) We’ll meet mid-morning and enjoy a lovely walking tour through local food markets, grocery stores and gelato shops in the areas of Campo De’ Fiori, Trastevere, and the Jewish Ghetto. We know that exercise makes one hungry, that’s why we thought you’d appreciate some pit-stops. For instance, you’ll enjoy a slice of freshly baked crispy pizza bianca (Rome’s own version of focaccia) cut in half horizontally and filled with thin slices of freshly cut mortadella: a traditional, more-Roman-than-the-Colosseum easy snack that locals love. And what about trying a supplì? This little ball of deep-fried tomato sauce risotto with a heart of melted mozzarella cheese is everyone’s favorite street food. Pasta will be on the list too, along with some dishes from the Roman Jewish tradition: the carciofo alla giudia, a Jewish style deep-fried artichoke that resembles a tiny sunflower, as well as filetto di baccalà, a fleshy fillet of cod, battered and deep-fried. And save some space for dessert, because we won’t skip our portion of artisan gelato! Excursions and activities outside Rome The most beautiful Unesco World Heritage Sites to visit departing from Rome #UnescoJewelsOfItaly 5 AM TRANSPORT FROM HOTEL INCLUDED Audio headsets so you don't miss a single detail of our local expert guide! Tivoli and its Villas A few kilometers away from Rome, there’s a world-renowned town, hosting two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Tivoli. It’s here that, back in the 2nd century AD, the emperor Hadrian built his majestic villa: a luxury country residence where he used to retreat and where he lived his late years. The huge complex includes more than 30 buildings, several swimming pools, former thermal stations and covers an area that’s larger than a square kilometer, which gives quite an idea of this place’s aim: to show the greatness, opulence and vast power of the emperor. In the 16th century, much of the remaining marble and statues were removed from Hadrian's Villa by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este, to decorate his own villa located nearby: Villa d’Este, another UNESCO world heritage site. Largely frescoed on the inside, the Villa is surrounded by a unique garden, displaying a complex system of pools, water jets, channels, fountains, cascades, and water games. And what makes this system of fountains such an incredible masterpiece of engineering is that it works entirely by the force of gravity, without pumps. Leaving Rome in the morning, you’ll have half a day to enjoy these architectural beauties accompanied by a professional guide, who’ll provide you with an audio receiver and earphones: you won’t miss a single detail!
