technologies to reduce errors and improve operations productivity.
Demand Forecasting Techniques
BasicThis course will introduce forecasting and simple time series analysis techniques. Participants will
learn how to apply moving average, exponential smoothing and simple linear regression methods to
derive forecasts based on historical data. Concepts of forecasting error will also be explored to
evaluate different forecasting methods.
Targeted Job Role:
- Procurement Managers, Operations managers, Planners
Expected Outcome:
- Participants will learn how to apply Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing and simple Linear
Regression
AdvancedThis course will introduce forecasting methods for time series data with trend and/or seasonality.
Participants will be introduced on how to apply Holt’s method to derive forecast for time series data
with trend component. They will also learn how to perform forecasting on time series data with trend
and seasonality using the multiplicative decomposition method.
