SKIING & SNOWBOARDINGMount Chinguacousy is a lively destination for skiing, snowboarding and tubing located in the Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park. Entrance to the Ski Chalet is at the corner of Central Park Drive and Bramalea Road. The Hill is open from late December through March, weather and conditions permitting.

MOUNT CHINGUACOUSY SAFETY POLICIES

• Personal equipment must be stored in the provided racks outside the chalet. The City of Brampton is not responsible for lost or stolen equipment.

• Personal equipment must meet the following standards: snowboards must have a snowboard leash and full metal edge (no plastic snowboards), skis must have a ski brake.

• Helmets are strongly recommended.

• The Alpine Responsibility Code is enforced on the ski hill.

• Anyone wishing to be on skiable/ snowboarding terrain, past the spectator area must have equipment and lift ticket on. Walking on the slopes is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Lift Fees, Ski and Snowboard Rentals

All persons who wish to rent equipment are required to provide a phone number and valid Government issued PHOTO ID and signature on rental agreement waiver. A parent/guardian must sign the rental agreement waiver and provide government issued photo ID for any participant under the age of 18 years of age.

Children 4 years of age and under receive a free matching lift ticket when accompanied by a paying adult. Regular rental fees apply.

Ski and Snowboard equipment is available for rent for an additional fee.

Please Note: • Helmets are strongly recommended. Helmets are available for rent for an additional fee.

• Children under 10 years of age must have a parent or guardian 18 years of age or older on site.

• There are no refunds for daily ski or snowboard rentals.

• There are no refunds for ski or snowboard rentals after the third lesson has been completed in an eight week program.

• There are no refunds for ski or snowboard rentals after the second lesson has been completed in a four week program.

REGISTERED PROGRAM INFORMATION

All customers that are renting equipment for registered programs must come in for sizing at least one week prior to the first day of their lessons. Sizing will start at our Open House on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 12 – 3 pm and will be available Monday, December 16 to Friday, December 20, 2019 between 4 - 8:30 pm.

• All lesson rates include one additional hour of practice time after the lesson time, unless otherwise indicated.

• Registration is not permitted after the third class has passed for an eight week lesson.

• Programs will not be cancelled or refunded due to inclement or less than ideal weather conditions.

• Make up classes or compensation will not be available due to participant illness or personal commitments.

• Lesson lift tags must be worn during programs.

RENTAL SHOP AND TUNING SERVICES

The rental shop is available to assist with any equipment needs, the certified technicians can tune your equipment so that it is ready for the season. Additional ski and snowboard accessories will be available for purchase.

SNOWBOARDING LEVEL 2 SMALL GROUPMaximum 3 participants. This program is for novice snowboarders. Participants will enjoy a 1 hour group lesson with a snowboard instructor followed by 1 hour of practice time afterwards on their own. Participants will learn to control speed and direction while doing controlled beginner turns from the top of the hill.Prerequisite: Snowboarding Level 1Required Equipment: All participants require outdoor/snow appropriate clothing (snow

pants, winter coat, hat and gloves). Full snowboard equipment (snowboard with a metal edge, leash, ski/snowboard/hockey helmet, boots and bindings). Snowboard rental equipment is an option for an additional fee.Age: 6+ Class Length: 1 Hour
