The complex Skiarena Szrenica, located at the slopes of Szrenica (1362 m), is a real paradise for every skier. The web of lifts and courses will satisfy even the most demanding runner. The snow comes here at the end of October and remains quite often until the first days of May. The climate comparable with the alpine one makes the publicity slogan Looking for the snow? We’ve got it for you credible, and brings every year larger and larger numbers of skiers to Szklarska Poreba.Look at the panorama of the Skiarena Szrenica: there are 13 km downhill courses. They are all well communicated by means of lifts (one two-section chair-lift and five T-bars)

and create the opportunity for excellent active recreation to be used by beginners and by experienced skiers as well. The first prefer Puchatek (the Pooh) downhill course, which is lit by night and used for night ski events. The latter get their adrenalin level jump by running down the breakneck FIS-course, so called sciana (Steepy). Every year more and more snowboarders come to the Skiarena Szrenica, This sport established itself already on our slopes. Next to the offer of the Skiarena there are many other lifts in Szklarska Poreba which are located on different demanding and easy slopes.

BIEG PIASTÓW (The Race of Piasts) – Worldloppet

located terrains which are covered by snow from October to the late spring. Thanks to it there are per-fect conditions to practice cross-country skiing both for amateurs and professionals.Bieg Piastów (The Race of Piasts)takes place here. It is the oldest and the biggest mass sports event in Poland

which joined The World League of Long Distance Races – WORLDLOPPET this year. The centre offers over 150km of trails diversified in difficulty level. The part of trails is located in the Izery Mountains in

Since XIXth century one of the main tourist attraction of Szklarska Poreba. A few meters high group of rocks, made up of a few blocks. surroundings. Silence, constantly changing landscapes

depending on lighting or the time of the day connected with the hum of the crystal clean streams, the waterfalls in the surroundings of granite rocks - these are the ele-ments that influence human nature in an especiallysoothing way.

Poland and the offer enlarges every year. There were classified over 50 minerals commonly occurring in the Karkonosze Mountains and the Izery Mountains, and

most of them has characteristics of precious stones. You can see them among other things in The Museum of Earth JUNA, The Museum of Minerals an d Rocks and Old Valonian House.
