Ski Trip 2015 to Zillertal, Austria Itinerary and Other Important Information

There is only two weeks until our departure for Zillertal, Austria. Given this fact I would like to inform you of our departure information and remind you of a few key points. Having received confirmation from our travel company - Ski Astons - I am pleased to be able to confirm that we will be travelling with P&O Ferries, crossing from Dover to Calais, France. • Meals Students will need to bring packed food and drinks for the outward journey. Students may wish to purchase food for the return journey. This said, we will make service stops on both the outward and inward journeys. At the ski resort, all meals are provided by the hotel. If students wish to purchase additional food or snacks they will have this opportunity on the ski slopes although, be aware, these snacks tend to be expensive. Overall, I do not recommend that any student bring a large amount of spending money. To reinforce, all monies must be exchanged to Euros prior to departure. Ski School I have spoken to a few students explaining how, originally, we were planning to visit Hemel Hempstead prior to our departure so as to receive some initial ski tuition. However, this is no longer necessary as, instead, I have been able to secure additional time on the Austrian slopes starting on the Sunday. I believe this will be more beneficial than time spent on an artificial ski slope in the UK. Key Information

Passports must be handed to reception by Wednesday 25th March, with EHIC cards. Students will be allocated pocket money groups on departure; each group will be supervised

by one member of staff for the duration of the trip. Please hand any money in a named envelope with the amount clearly written on the front. Money should be given to your childs designated member of staff.

All medication must be given to Miss Lawler on departure, in an envelope clearly marked with your childs name and the required dosage.

Hired helmets will be taken to the resort. We encourage students to wear their hooded jumpers whilst travelling, to help with

identification at service stops. We will endeavour to keep you updated of our adventures and any changes to return times via

Twitter (@IsleworthSyon) and email. Please carefully read the parent information pack which includes emergency contact details, staffing, travel advice, luggage information, a reminder of money details, a code of conduct and a suggested kit list.

Parents/carers can keep track of all correspondence sent regarding this Ski Trip by visiting the schools website. Just go to http://www.isleworthsyon.org/?tag=ski-trip-2015. Please note that all times stated are approximate and may be subject to change. If you have any questions prior to departure then please contact me at the school. Yours sincerely,
