1. Installing the TKTI 20 software onto a PC
ToinstalltheTKTI20ThermalimagersoftwareontoaPC:1. InserttheCDintothePC.2. UsewindowsexplorertoviewthefilesontheCD.3. Openandrunthefile“SKFTKTI20PCsetup.exe”.4. ThiswillinstallthesoftwareontothePC.
OncethesoftwarehassuccessfullybeenloadedaniconappearsonthePCDesktop:
2. Transferring saved images from the camera to the PC
Inthecameratheimagesaresavedonamicro-SDcardandareinfolders.Anewfolderiscreatedeverytimethecameraisswitchedon.Thefolderalsocontainsthevoicemessagefileifitisrecorded.Eachsavedimagewillthereforeconsistoftwoorthreefiles.a. ABMPfilecontainingthethermalandvisualimage.b. AnIR5filecontainingthetemperaturedata.c. AWAVfileifavoicerecordingwasmadewhentheimagewassaved.
Note: DonotusetheMicrosoftScannerandCameraWizardtodownloadimages.UseWindowsExplorer.
TherearetwowaystotransferimagestothePC.
2.1 Direct from Camera
a) ConnectthecameratothePCviatheUSBcable.Thecamerahasnottobeswitchedon.
b) UseWindowsExplorerandfilingsystemtolocatethemicroSDcardinthecamera.Thiswillnormallybeshownasaremovabledisk.
c) CopythecompletefoldersfromtheSDcardontothePC.Notethatthereareatleasttwofilesforeachimage,whichmustbekepttogether.

2.2 From Micro SD Card
a) Takethemicro-SDcardoutofthecameraandinsertintoasuitablecardreader.b) ConnectthecardreadertothePCc) UseWindowsExplorertolocatethefileswiththeimagesonthemicro-SDcardand
copythecompletefoldersontothePC.Notethatthereareatleasttwofilesforeachimage,whichmustbekepttogether.

Thesoftwarehastwomainparts.1. Analysis software Allowstheusertoanalysetheimageandalsoalterthesettingsforhowtheimageis
displayed.2. Report writer Allowstheusertocreateareportofthethermalimagesforrecords,administration
andoperationaluse.
SwitchfromAnalysissoftwareparttoReportwriterbyclickingonthedropdownviewmenuorthetoolbar.
3.1 Starting the Software
Tostartthesoftwaredoubleclickontheicon .
Thefollowingwindow(fig.2)willappear.Note:itmaybenecessarytomaximisethewindow.

3.2 Opening an image
ClickonthedropdownFilemenuandclickon“Open”(fig.3).

Usethewindowsexplorertolocatethefolderwheretheimagesaresaved.Ifviewingimagesdirectlyfromthecamerathiswillbeshownasaremovabledisk(fig.4).

7. Image alignmentThisallowstheverticalandhorizontalalignmentofthethermalandvisibleimages.Clickingonthenavigationarrowswillmovethevisibleimagewhiletheinfraredimageremainsstationary.Itiseasiesttoadjustwitha50%thermaland50%visibleimage.

andclickremove.

temperatureofeachpixel.Selectingthiscreatesa.CSVfileallowingittobesavedasafile.

This.CSVfilecanbeopenedasanExcelspreadsheet.
Note:ThefilemustbeopenedfromwithintheExcelapplication(notby“double-clicking”onthefile)andselectingcommadelimiters(seebelow).
TheresultisanExcelsheetwith160linesand120columns(matrixsizeis160x120pixels)withtheexacttemperatureofeachpixel.Youcansavethisfileasan.xlsfile.Youwillthenendwithtwodifferentfiles:.csv and.xls.

Thisofferstheoptiontocopytheimagetotheclipboardortosaveasabitmap.Bothoftheseoptionswillallowthreechoices:Fullwindow,SnapshotorSnapshot+.
SnapshotSnapshot saves the image only.
Full windowFull window saves the complete window.
Snapshot +.Snapshot + saves the image and the colour temperature scale.

showninthesamecolour.ThisisbestseenusingeitherthewhitehotorBlackhotcolourschemes.

The red and blue isotherms can be set by adjusting the red and blue blocks in the level and span adjustment bar. This can be done using a mouse.
To adjust the isotherm width, click on the colour block edge and drag. To adjust level click in the colour block and move.
The temperature difference between the centre of the two isotherms is displayed at the bottom.

ItispossibletotogglebetweentheTKTI20analysissoftwareandthereportwritersoftwarefromthedropdownviewmenuorthetoolbar.Therearethreestepstocreateareport.Thereisaseparatetabforeachfunction.1. Title page Enterdetailsthatshouldappearinthetitlepageofthereport.2. Image select Thisallowstheselectionoftheimagesneededforthereport.3. Inspection Data Informationandadditionaldataabouteachimagecanbeaddedandthenthereport
canbegenerated.

1. Whenthereportwritersoftwareisopenedthetitlepageappearsasshownabove.Thereisanemptyspacewherealogoorotherimagecanbeplacedtoappearonthefrontpageofthefinalreport.
2. Pressthesetimagebutton.
3. WindowsExplorercannowbeusedtofindanimage.
4. Clickontheopenbuttontoselectandplaceanimageorlogointhetitlepage.
Entertherestofthedetailsrequiredforthefrontpageofthereport.

8. Eachimage,whenselected,maybeeditedbymeansofthe“EditImage”button.ThisswitchestotheAnalysisMode.Wheneditingiscomplete,switchbacktotheReportWriterModebymeansofthe“ToggleReportWriter”button.
4.3 Inspection Data tab
1. Theinspectionwindowwillappear.
2. Completeandenterdataasrequiredforthereport.Ifyourimageissavedwithseveralcursors,youwillbeabletodisplaythetemperatureoftwoofthem,andthentomeasurethedifference.Youalsohavethepossibilitytoswitchtotheanalysispartofthesoftware,usingthemenuview>reportwriter.Youcanthenloadtheimageyouwondertochange(addingcursors).Backtothereportsection,press“Refresh”intheimageselecttab,andthechangesyou’vemadewillappearonthepicture.
3. Ifyouwanttocreateareport,pressthegeneratePDFreportbutton.Ifyouwanttosaveyourreportproject(.rw5file),thenpressthesavereportprojectbutton.Youwillthenbeabletocompleteormodifythisprojectlater.
