Invented textures are made up in the mind of the artist. They are influenced by what we know in the real world as actual textures. The way to create invented textures are to use a variety of lines, dots, dashes, shapes, numbers and letters. Use them as a way to shade and add volume to a shape.

Invented shapes or forms that are organic, are based on the idea that the line that describes the shape or form is fluid, curvy and irregular.
