this heifer is long bodied, level in her top line, and very refined in her structure meaning she's very feminine features. when she's put into motion she has a nice long stride. there are a few things i would like to change about her like i would like to see her bolder and deeper bodied meaning i want to see her with move curve to her rib cage and drop that belly line quite a bit. i would like to see her with some more muscle and definition. I would like to see her a bit heavier, in terms of condition for a heifer her age she's a bit green for me. she is a very feminine female. https://youtu.be/is3zKidOQtA
Blue B104 Aleigh
This heifer what can i say about this one other than she is for me the complete female. she has it all good bone level and wide across that top line, clean front end, bold and deep center body. when you put this heifer into motion she just axcels in all aspects. she's got a big hip on her, she is free and easy moving, well balanced, and feminine featured. i think the only bad thing i could say about this female is that i would like to relax her in her spine just ever so slightly but thats is being pretty picky on a heifer that has a lot of cow power to her and a bright future ahead of her. i would of liked to see a rear view of this heifer to get better look https://youtu.be/XyMPeP_ETBY

this steer is very long bodied, has got a bold deep center. has got a lot of footsize and bone. he does walk underneath himself in the rear, and slopes off his hip a bit. i would like to square him up at his base as far as how he walks he kind of toes out.He is a nice steer i just think depending on when the butcher date is, that he would need some more days on feed. https://youtu.be/NMe6XrsrulM

Red B101 Josselyn
This red angus heifer is a nice long bodied heifer, that does has some good qualities to her. she's got a bold rib cage, a stout footsize. and she is wide across her top line. i would like to see her add some more depth of body, wider at the ground and slender necked because she has kind of a bull neck meaning too much fat and extra skin in the head and neck area.she is a nice female for the young lady just like to level her top line a little bit https://youtu.be/GxC3MwU82-E

i would like to see her work on walking into set and not picking at the cows feet. let the heifer look more natural in her set than to be set underneath herself. when we setup our cows we don't turn around and face the way the cow is we face the cows back end and scratch her belly or brisket. https://youtu.be/GxC3MwU82-E
Blue B104 Aleigh this young lady can flat out show. she has that heifer nice and calm easy set up, perfect positioning of the heifers head. my only thing i'm gonna nitpick about is when your pulling into set don't stop the heifer and then look as you are walking into set give her feet a lot ad watch her back feet so when she is set in that perfect profile stance she looks a bit more natural. good showman can show for me anytime.https://youtu.be/XyMPeP_ETBY

This is a very heavy built powerful doe who would produce high quality kids. I would like to see her a little shorter and stronger on her rear pasterns. As much as I like the type and muscle on this doe, she does fall into the red ribbon category for her underbite. Breed standard lists anything greater than 1/4" underbite is a disqualification. That being said, she still should produce very nice market wethers. https://youtu.be/cV_moXvkQ9A

Blue G106 Dakota
This is a nice solid blue ribbon doe who's showing us conformational strength. She stands on properly angled legs, although I would like to see her shorter and stronger on those rear pasterns. She's also a very long bodied doe, maybe not having that ideal body depth that we like to see. This is a doe that when bred to a powerful buck should produce nice kids. https://youtu.be/OsNWikYht04

Red G126 Emma
This is most likely a Nubian-Boer cross doe, who is showing us tremendous length of body and capacity. However, she does not have the power and muscle that we would like to see in a Boer breeding stock. https://youtu.be/vFz6nbBAthg

Blue G105 Dakota
While this animal falls behind the rest of his class, we still commend him for his smoothness and quality in type. While he may not be the most powerful animal in the class, the conformation base is still there. https://youtu.be/KGRNsleyDB4
Blue G113 Allison
Our second place wether is G113. Once again this is a power and muscle placing. He's showing greater power in his front end, being wider in that chest floor with more definition about the brisket. He's also longer in that loin meaning he'll yield greater cuts. When viewed from the rear, he stands with more natural width between his hocks and carries his muscling further down his leg. https://youtu.be/_YYjXCong2Y
Blue G119 Jaelynn
First off, Let me say I am impressed with all of these projects and wish I had the chance to evaluate them in person. G119 will win this class for his power. He's a naturally wider built wether, who stands on a larger foot. He's deeper in his barrel, although he will give up some length of body to G113. When viewed from the top/rear he's wider over that loin, carrying that width down into a fuller twist. For these reasons he will be our champion today. https://youtu.be/sBiVwJAv7Sc

Blue G118 Bloedel Emma
Single entry class with a doe kid who is very well deserving of her ribbons. She's showing a lot of angularity throughout while still having adequate strength of bone. She's a long bodied doe who is conformationally sound. I would like to see her have greater extension about her brisket and hold her point of elbow more tightly to her body. https://youtu.be/HtW6JNR-7dQ

Blue G112 Bloedel Emma
This is a single entry Nubian doe less than two, who once again is very well deserving of her placing. This is a beautiful doe who exhibits a great level of breed characteristics about the head as well as being a long bodied, angular doe. I would like to see her walking with greater width between those hocks and being more level from hips to pins (rump). https://youtu.be/Bl5ZH5fyKng
Nubian - Does, under 2 years old having freshened
Ribbon Exhibitor Number Last Name First Name Judges Comments Link
Blue G124 Bloedel Allison
This is a two entry class in which G124 is placing over G125 for her advantage in mammary system. She has a greater level of attachment that hold her udder more securely to the body while on the move, as well as extending more correctly forward into a smoother blended foreorder. Furthermore, she has an advantage in general appearance being stronger and straight in the back, particularly in the area of the chine and being more nearly level from hips to pins. https://youtu.be/NUPksnHsgsM
Blue G125 Bloedel Allison
I'd like to commend this second place doe for her body capacity as well as having a more capacious mammary system than the doe placed ahead of her. I would encourage breeding her to a buck that is extremely level across the topline. https://youtu.be/5t-m7aeM7Hw

Single entry Toggenburg doeling class with a doe kid who is well deserving of her title her today. She's a kid who is showing us appropriate size and capacity for her age. I truly admire the length and barrel on this doe as well as the levelness from hips to pins (rump). She stands on a solid set of feet and legs, although I would like to see her being more perpendicular from hock to pastern on her rear legs when viewed from the side. As well as, greater strength in her chine (although as they age they tend to become stronger over the topline). https://youtu.be/giA56nAlbws

Jaelynn- you did a great job exhibiting your animal. She was very well fit and it was evident that you had put the time into training her as she did everything you asked her to. Remember to always walk clockwise in the ring (right side is show side). Also, try and begin to understand the conformational strengths and weaknesses of your doe. For instance, she dips in her chine. Now there are ways to help hide this. First, make sure you don’t set her short. Second, once she is set you can try poking or rubbing under belly (as if she were a steer). This action causes her to react by arching her back, thus counteracting the dipping. Overall, you did very well and have the promising qualities of turning into an excellent showman. Keep working and having fun! https://youtu.be/QdOwrU3eodE
Blue G126 Bloedel Emma
Emma, great job! You change sides so smooth and are very alert to where the judge is at. Your doe wasn't always willing to work with you as easily as you would like but you didn't give up. I noticed it was difficult for you to set her up since she is such a long bodied doe. I would recommend showing a younger animal so that the smaller size allows you to have greater control and reach. Keep up the good work! https://youtu.be/vFz6nbBAthg

Dakota, you did a very nice job exhibiting your animal and setting her up. Remember to always walk your animal clockwise (right side is show side). Your doe was very cleaned and well fit. When walking, take it slow. There is no need to rush anything in the show ring, Most importantly, have confidence, Look at the judge and make them believe you know what you're doing, because you do. Keep up the good work and just have fun. https://youtu.be/w2pPHFyvjsQ

Allison, your weather looks amazing! You have a gift for fitting animals which is a huge advantage in this industry, You brace your animal effectively. A few things as I believe in constructive criticism: I do not encourage tail pulling. We are not sheep showman and it should not be necessary. Walk slower. It is not a race and slower movements actually make an animal present themselves better, Your bracing is very good, but be less aggressive in your movements. A showman should have smooth, subtle, and calm movements. Overall, you are a great showman; just remember that there is always room for improvement so keep working and have fun.

Dylan, your style of showing is my favorite. It is one that exhibits smooth, calm, quiet movements while displaying a sense of confidence and grace. The presentation of your animal is impeccable, and it's evident that she is well trained. I wish I had the opportunity to work you in the ring to see what you are really made of and to hopefully be able to teach you some new tricks. I will say one thing, the biggest part of showing is knowing your animal. Not just their personality and work type, but conformationally. Be able to highlight their strengths and hide their weaknesses. For instance, your doe is posty in her rear legs; make sure not to overstretch her. Keep up the great work and have fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoet42C_p4Y

Emma, your doeling was not wanting to work with you but it is clear that you are trying. Try and keep your free hand off her while walking, and practice setting her up. Young does like this do not have alot of patience; that is something that has to be taught to them through training. Build a strong working relationship with her doeling. I know it can be frustrating and tiresome but the more work you put in the greater reward you get out of it. The biggest thing for you at this young age is to develop a love for showing and your animals. If you don’t love it then you won't be willing to put in the time that is necessary for you to be great. And I promise you can reach greatness if you just keep putting your heart and mind to it. Understand the basics, and I don't just mean in the showring. Study your anatomy and be able to truly understand your animal, it's breed, and it's species. There is such great reward that comes with building that bond and understanding with your animal. Keep up the good work, don't get frustrated, and have fun. https://youtu.be/HtW6JNR-7dQ

Allison, it’s evident that you have a solid concept of the basics of dairy goat showmanship. For that I congratulate you. Don’t be afraid to have fun with this. I don’t quiet see the same motivation and passion in this video as I did in that of your boer showmanship one. Maybe you prefer showing boers over dairy, or maybe it’s just that virtual showmanship isn’t fun. Either way it’s fine. But I encourage you to keep working. Have fun with this project. Boer and dairy are two completely different styles of showing. Your doe tends to put her head down and rush. Try really hard to keep her head up and walk slow. I would recommend using an actual chain show collar, which might help with that problem. Keep up the good work and just have fun with this project. https://youtu.be/NUPksnHsgsM

You really hit the main points that build the foundation of a good showman. Training your animal plays a huge part in showring success as well as proper fitting. For a doe with courser hair like yours, I always recommend clipping and bathing with shampoo and conditioner, Now that you understand the steps you need to take prior to being in the showring, I want you to challenge yourself to expand your knowledge. You clearly have a great understanding and bond with your animal, but I want you to be able to understand your animal's conformation as well, Know their strengths and weakness so that you are able to adapt your showmanship style to fit their needs. Russell, I love this! For you at such a young age to begin your journey as a goat showman is something I love to see. It's clear that you love your animal and are having fun. That is key! The leaves are a great training tool to help teach your goat to lead. Take the time to build a strong bond with your doe. Also, try practicing switching sides and being alert to where your judge is at. Your sister is a good showman, take advice from her and soak up all the knowledge she has to offer you. This dark brahma leans to more of the production side of type rather than the exhibition side. She is quite small even though she is young. When she matures she should be around 9.5lbs. Her color could also be improved. She should be darker in color all around. She does seem like a nice showmanship bird from your video. Thank you for sharing such great images!

This buff brahma has fairly decent color, as buff is a hard color to master. Her shape is pretty good, she could be filled out a little more in her back end but I like that she is fully feathered. I am awarding this bird Best of Breed.

Blue P100 Jack
This barred cochin appears to be a nice showmanship animal. Some improvments could be her color and shape. Her barred coloring is what is called "muddy" meaning there are not clear lines of white and black on her feathers. For her shape, she should be almost spherical. She should look like a circle no matter which way you view her.

Blue P103 Luke
This Plymoth Rock has decent barred coloring. Most of the bars are clear and easy to see. Though she is young, I would like to see her tail filled out more and fanned out rather than coming to a point. She might molt out and grow into a nice show bird when she matures. I am awarding this bird Best of Breed.

You have a very nice bird that is in great condition but showmanship also involves sharing your knowledge of your animal. I expected to see more information presented such as what you are feeding your animal, standard weights for this variety of turkey, and better handling of the turkey. As a senior, it is important to have all of these pieces and more when doing showmanship. https://youtu.be/N34HUxBcYb0

Very well done! I love how you took the time to explain every detail of every step you took to show your pigeon. You also have excellent handling of your pigeon. This is a beautiful print. The detail and design are very well done. Having tried prints like this, I know how you really have to watch construction and make sure everything is set properly to pull this off. Wonderful work!

WOW! This is a superb and creative design. I really love the steampunk type look of this print. The complexity of the various parts that fit together show some wonderful skill. I also, very much, appreciate the focus on creating something that is so timely and works on a solution to a current problem. We need creative and talented people to help us work on innovative ideas...Keep it up!

This is a very creative and beautiful print. Not only is this very practical, but it is also very artistic. The multi-tier levels of the interlocking shapes is a great look and I could see this as something people would buy for flowers, office supplies and more. It is more a work of art than just storage. The selection of shapes also shows a very durable design so it is clear that you have investigated both strength and aesthetics in your work. This is a wonderful example of engineering and design.

Great pictures/drawing. I cannot read any of the wording, it is all too small. Not sure of the message since I cannot read it. Name and club info should be on the back of the poster.

Great colors! Would like to see the title stand out a bit more. Hard to find the central topic. Cute idea, but try something more educational with one main topic/point. Lettering should be bigger and easier to read. Make sure all pieces are secured to poster so they will not fall off.

Love the carrot boarder! Could be a little more clear on which class this is for, is this for a type class or a showmanship class? Would like to see lettering spread out a little and more straight.
