    Te Jet Age Air forces across the Middle East had been supplied withnew jet ghters by 1967. From older MiG-15s to newerMirage III and MiG-21 ghters, air power was an integralpart of warfare in the Six Day War. Most armored vehicle ofthe time were still equipped with anti aircraft machine guns,

    but the fast ying jets were difcult to hit.

    Chance Meeting in the Dark During the Six Day War, Israeli and Arab forces occasionallyfound themselves engaged in confusing night battles. Thisoften was the result of the rapid advance of Israeli tankunits in the Sinai, s they stumbled across Egyptian forcesor Egyptian armored forces moving to counterattack ran

    into these Israeli spearheads. On occasion Israeli forcesused night attacks to take fortied Egyptian positions, suchas Abu Ageila.

    I both players agree, then roll a die when playing a mission with the Mobile Battle rule,a roll o 5+ means the game is a night battle.he game begins at night and uses the DawnBreaks rule.

    1 Hard Baked GroundThe soil is hard and mostly at, baked by theburning sun. Terrain would be sparse with small

    rocky hills, scrub bushes and the occasionalvillage.

    reat all cross country movement as iit was road movement. Hills count asdifficult terrain to vehicles.

    2-4 Fertile Valley The battleeld is in a valley watered by a smallstream or river. There would be the occasionaleld, small stand of trees, stream, village androlling hills.

    Te battleeld ollows the standard rules or terrain.

    5 Rocky errainSharpe rocky hills and ridges dominate thelandscape. Boulders dot the eld with treacherous

    paths and shear cliffs marking the hills.

    Te battleeld should be dominatedby rocky hills or other terrain eatures.Roads or trails should meander amongstthe raised terrain. Lines o sight shouldbe limited when not elevated. Small hillsare treated as difficult terrain and largerhill can be treated as very difficult going.

    6 Te Unforgiving DesertSand dunes stretch for as far as can be seen, thesun bakes down on the land. The terrain featureson this board would be the occasional rolling hilland road.

    All cross country movement is slow going and any hills are rated as difficultterrain.

    Difcult TerrainThe terrain on all fronts of the Six Day War was often difcult at best. From the rocky heights of the Golanand central Sinai to the sun baked desert in the north of the Sinai, both sides struggled against eachother and the conditions.
