you remained so strong even until the end

and through it all, you were my best friend

a friend who guided and loved and cared

and without thought for herself, was able to share.

From you i learned never to be afraid,

but to remain forever strong, for God was the only way.

i always found comfort seeing your smile and hearing you sing.and it’s to memories like these

that i will always cling.

Had it not been for you, where would i be?

Had it not been for all the strength you showed me.

Had it not been for your support what future could i see?

there are people whose lives are so special;

Whose presence and love mean so much

that somehow you know wher-ever you go

in thought you will never lose touch.

there was laughter, there were tears

throughout our golden yearsand even though your time has

come,your memory remains here.

Reflecting on our walks and talksa quiet times alone,

I’m filled with peace to knowThat God has finally led you

home.

i love you for your unconditional ways

and for the thoughtful things you do,

but most of all, i love you Mom,Just because you’re you.

a mother you are, you’ll remain ‘til the end,

a wonderful person…a true best friend.

My Mother ... My Best Friend

AcknowledgmentDuring these trying hours, the presence of friends has been one of our sustaining elements. Your prayers have increased our faith. Your words have encouraged our sad hearts. Your presence has given us an arm to lean on. Your food has helped us to maintain our strength, the fragrance of flowers, the thought of every card, the visits and phone calls added a touch of beauty to a setting that was full of gloom. Because of you, the burden that is heavy is lighter now.
