SCS3 GRIP® – comfort, grip and safety2005 saw the launch of SCS3 with the GRIP® sole and, since then, many riders have discovered the significant advantages of this system. The unique shock-absorbing elements in the sole and heel help ensure fabulous comfort and reduced strain on the feet, knees and back. The patented configuration of the outer sole, together with the stirrup tread, provides the best possible grip and prevents the foot from sliding forward and through the iron. Four grooves give the rider the option of switching foot position and there are different treads for jumping or dressage. If you end up in trouble and come off, the sole comes free of the tread because the foot is not ‘locked’ in any way.

This project has resulted in the world-class SCS3 GRIP® and SCS3 LITE®. The choice between LITE or GRIP depends largely on which type of riding you are involved in and on your personal preference. You can go for the best possible grip with a more robust fit and sole, or a more elegant fit with a thinner sole and lighter grip.

SCS3 LITE® – Function meets eleganceWe have invested all our knowledge and experience in the SCS3 LITE® system, without compromising on technology. The result is that we have created the most elegant and, at the same time, functional riding boots available. The easy way to tell GRIP® from LITE® is to look at the sole thickness and pattern. LITE® has a thinner sole, with more grooves. You will still have good grip in the stirrup, but it’s not as pronounced as with GRIP®. The thinner soles make this riding footwear ideal for people who prefer a neater, more elegant fit.
