The torque converter inlet relief valve and the lube distribution manifold are mounted to
the right, front of the main case. They are consolidated into one housing (A).
The electronic steering clutch and brake control valve (B) is mounted to the top of the
main case.
The four-section power train oil pump (D) is driven by a shaft that connects the drive
hub (C) to a drive hub on the rear of the hydraulic demand fan pump (not pictured). The
drive shaft is covered by a guard when the machine is completely assembled.
The transmission charging section and the torque converter charging section of the power
train oil pump draw their oil from the main sump through the screened suction manifold (E).
The suction screen is accessible for cleaning by removing the cover (F) on the front of
the suction manifold.
The vent line (G) connects the torque converter housing and the main case to maintain an
equal atmospheric pressure inside both components.
The four-section, fixed displacement power train oil pump is
mounted to the left, front of the main case. This fixed
displacement gear pump consists of:
The two, 6-micron power train oil filters are located at the rear of the machine. Shown
in the illustration above is the torque converter charge filter (A) and the transmission
charge filter (B). The ecology drain (C) for the transmission case is also located at
the rear of the machine, at the bottom of the transmission case (D). The transmission
hydraulic control may be accessed by removing the transmission inspection cover (E),
at the top of the transmission case.
The 6-micron transmission charge filter "A" (F) is located at the upper left, rear of the
main case. Service points located on this filter base are:
The electronic steering clutch and brake valve (4) is located on top of the main case. Shown tothe right is;
(A). Right steering clutch solenoid (B). Right brake solenoid (C). Left brake solenoid (D). Left steering clutch solenoidA through D are proportional solenoids
(E). parking brake solenoid (F). secondary brake solenoidE and F are ON/OFF solenoids
Four pressure test ports (C1, B1, B2, and C2)They coincide with the order of the clutch and brake solenoids. .
The torque converter output speed sensor (A) is located above the torque
divider output shaft.
The 6-micron torque converter charge filter (K) is located at the upper right, rear of
the main case. Power train oil fluid samples (S•O•S) maybe taken from the test port (AA),
located on the right side of the filter base.

The pump drive hub (E) connects to a shaft that is driven by a
hub at the rear of the hydraulic demand fan pump. Other power
train components shown in the illustration above are:
Located at the top of the transmission case are the following pressure test ports:

T/C Speed Sensor and T/C Outlet Relief Valve
The torque converter outlet relief valve (B) is mounted
to the torque converter outlet port at the right rear of the torque divider
case. The hot oil exits the outlet relief valve through the upper steel
tube (D). The oil flows to the two power train oil coolers, where it is cooled
and returns through the lower steel tube (E). The oil passes through the valve
body, through a hose connected to the hose flange (F), to the lube distribution
manifold. Torque converter pressure can be checked using the left pressure
tap (N). The right pressure tap (CL) tests cooler inlet pressure. The
torque converter oil temperature sensor (C) monitors torque converter outlet
relief oil temperature. This temperature sensor provides the signal that
drives the torque converter temperature gauge, located at the upper right of
the instrument cluster in the dash, via the Power Train ECM and Advisor.

Brake pressure for the right brake and clutch pressure for the right clutch may be tested by removing the plug and installing a test tap.Brake lube pressure (LB2) may be tested in a like manner at the forward port. The test ports on the left side of the machine are reversed, for left brake pressure and left brake lube pressure (LB1).
