Fungsi Utama
• The main purpose of the starter motor is to provide initial power to crank the engine to start it up when the ignition switch is turned on.

Fungsi Komponen• Battery : energy resource
• Solenoid: connect the current from the battery to the starter to reduce voltage drop that would occur by going through the ignition switch.
• Starter: uses electrical energy to spin the flywheel which turns the crankcase and induces combustion.

Prinsip Motor
• DC motors interaction of magnetic fields to convert electrical energy to mechanical energy
• Current is applied to field and armature
• Conductor tends to move from weak magnetic field to strong magnetic field.
• For armature to continue rotating, the current flow must be reversed.
