Two, three or four gantries for scalable performance

Since the modular SIPLACE X-Series adapts perfectly to your requirements, you get the configuration that works best for any production line. Which machine is best for your bottom line? Four models are available:

DThree placement heads cover all needs

The SIPLACE SpeedStar, our high-speed collect-and-place head, combines a wide component range (down to 0201 metric) with extremely high speed.

The SIPLACE MultiStar combines three different placement modes with a very broad component range for optimal line balancing.

As a versatile pick-and-place head, the SIPLACE TwinHead places odd-shaped and high components with very high force. It allows you to integrate snap-in or through-the-hole placements into the regular SMT process.

Together, these three heads deliver maximum flexibility for outstanding machine utilization at all times irrespec-tive of the product spectrum.

Conveyor: Extra wide or extra flexible

The SIPLACE X-Series S shines with another innovation in the conveyor department. Even the standard single-track conveyor can move boards that are up to 685 mm wide. And in combination with the Long Board Option, it moves PCBs with dimensions of up to 850 mm by 685 mm.

The SIPLACE dual-track conveyor features a unique set of capabilities. You can transport a single board that’s up to 560 mm wide or two boards that are each up to 320 mm wide. But that’s not all. Since both tracks operate inde-pendently of each other, they can move boards synchronously or asynchronously. And for multi-track placement applica-tions, you have innovative modes like Borrow Performance and i-Mode at your disposal – for maximum performance and flexibility.

High-speed head: 20-nozzle C&P

Time is money. The high-speed collect-and-place head is a major reason why the SIPLACE X-Series S will make a noticeable difference in your bottom line. It is equipped with 20 nozzles, has highly advanced direct-drive technology, is very robust and requires very little maintenance, but most of all it is extremely fast and highly accurate.

Up to four of these heads can be installed in a four-gantry machine for even the most demanding high-volume applications.

If fast is still not enough, the SIPLACE X4i is the machine for you. It shines with its high SIPLACE benchmark rating, but if you want to compare real-life performance, take a look at the non-proprietary IPC rating. You have the SIPLACE single-track conveyor or the flexible SIPLACE dual-track conveyor at your disposal. The latter features all the benefits of a traditional dual-track conveyor, such as shorter downtimes, with all the capabilities of a single-track conveyor. Depending on the nature of your pro-duct, you can adapt the track and its mode within seconds.

Intelligent feeders for 100 percent uptime

The SIPLACE X-Series S operates with smart feeders that simplify your setup and changeover operations considerably. For example, SIPLACE X-feeders can be removed or added without having to stop the machine.

And since the machine automatically recognizes each feeder, they can be installed on any available track. LEDs on each feeder indicate their status: “In use”, “Waiting for components”, or “Ready to be removed”. You can’t make it any easier.

The fastest new product introductions in the industry

SIPLACE machines are particularly effective when it comes to new pro-duct introductions. With SIPLACE Virtual Product Build, you can set up placement programs offline and verify them through simulation so that any errors will be fixed before the first board enters the line.

Are you certain that your placement process operates with maximum sta-bility? Every SIPLACE X-Series S machine comes with various control mechanisms for maximum placement stability.

Vacuum sensors on the nozzles make sure that each component was picked up and placed correctly. Force sen-sors control the placement force for each component and compensate for variations in board height. The SIP-LACE X-Series S ensures maximum placement reliability and positioning accuracy, resulting in the lowest dpm rate in the high-end segment.

Vision inspection – because you can never be too safe

Because you want a fast and highly reliable component recognition system that’s also easy to use, we developed the digital SIPLACE vision system that identifies each component based on its geometry and color. It also stores images of rejected components (“vision dumps”) that document which components were discarded and why.

Prevent setup errors with SIPLACE setup verification

Perfect setup changeovers made easy: With the SIPLACE X-Series S, setups are verified via barcodes on PCBs and component reels as well as via the intelligent SIPLACE X-feeders. Setup errors become a thing of the past.

Placement of super-small 0201(metric)components
