Company Profile

SINVAC Piping Systems focuses on HDPE Pipes and associated fittings, which is

manufactured by SINVAC Mining & Engineering (Pty)Ltd and SINVAC (Pty)Ltd, two

companies in the SINVAC Group of Companies operating from “SINVAC House” in

Pretoria-West.

The use of HDPE pipes have continuously grown in volume, diameter and wall thickness

all over the world. With each growth step, new applications and markets have opened

up. The successful and sustainable application of HDPE pipes is dependent on a number

of key factors as a part of the PIPING SYSTEM. The purpose of this “HDPE Pipe and

associated fittings catalogue” is to bring together all these elements guiding the work of

SINVAC Mining & Engineering to deliver PIPING SYSTEMS.

This catalogue is a combination of the practical elements from different sources

accumulated over a number of years and used by SINVAC. Future revisions will continue to reflect improvements in both practical and technical content.

Quality Policy

SINVAC operates in the manufacturing-, fabrication- and projects environments and our

quality system is designed to consistently deliver on time according to our customer

requirements.

On-time:

Order book - To ensure that customer requirements are met regarding timing, an order

book system is in place through which required delivery date is tracked on a daily basis.

Constant communication - Updates of progress to be sent through regularly to

customers.

Customer requirements:

Scope of work (SOW) - Is confirmed before commencement of work so as to ensure that

both parties are in agreement about the requirements.

Quality Control Plans (QCP’s) - Prepared and approved according to customers’

requirements.

Method Statements (MS) - Signed off procedures are followed for key areas of

execution.

Release - Final product is only released to the customer after quality check is done.

Non-conformances:

Customer complaints and internal non-conformances are logged, investigated within 24

hours and corrected with the following basic steps:

• Understand the complaint / deviation / non-conformance and its impact on the

delivery of a quality product.

• Determine the root cause of the non-conformance.

• Implementing immediate corrective action.

• Put in place permanent preventative measures.

Consistent and disciplined execution is extremely important in achieving the results

aimed for.

HDPE Pipes

HDPE stands for “High-density polyethylene” which is a polyethylene thermoplastic

made from petroleum, by a catalytic process, with a high strength-to-density ratio. The

density of HDPE can range from 0.93 to 0.97 g/cm3 or 970 kg/m3. HDPE is a hard and

dense material and can withstand high temperatures (120 °C/ 248 °F for short periods,

110 °C /230 °F continuously).

It can be easily moulded and welded together. Due to its high chemical resistance

property, it is used in piping systems. HDPE pipes are used to both carry potable water

and hazardous waste. It has other applications also like in making vehicles fuel tanks,

chemical bunds, custom tanks, backpacking frames, bottle caps, food storage containers, etc.

Solid wall pipes

Sinvac Piping (Pty) Ltd manufactures solid wall HDPE Pipes which carries the SABS mark

for, SANS ISO 4427, and we are a member of SAPPMA and IFPA. The HDPE Pipes are

manufacture in coils and in straight lengths.

Plastic pipe materials are extremely versatile and are used in a wide variety of industries.

SINVAC supplies a wide variety of Compression Fittings for all pressure piping applications.

With a pressure rating of up to 16 Bar, maximum safety is kept in mind, for all possible

conditions. Keeping the basic features of easy and fast assembly intact, without any

particular preparation of the pipe.

Product range: d.16-110mm, all the common items for piping applications.
