The SINTER circuit breaker and disconnector is a an ultramodern integrated device suitable for any power transmission and distribution installation fully in compliance with Italian and international standards. SINTER interruttore e sezionatore è un dispositivo integrato modernissimo adatto ad ogni installazione per trasmissione e distribuzione di potenza pienamente in conformità con gli standard italiani ed internazionali.

Due to its compactness it is particularly recommended for applications in medium voltage substations for light industry and tertiary sectors. Grazie alle dimensioni estremamente compatte è particolarmente raccomandato per applicazioni in sottostazioni MT per industria leggera e terziario.

The apparatus is composed by an isolating switch and vacuum bottles for the circuit breaker function, fully interlocked and both insulated in a SF6 tank. L'apparecchio è composto da un sezionatore e ampolle in vuoto per la funzione di interruttore, il tutto isolato in un contenitore in SF6.

Earthing function will be provided separately by means of an earth switch located downstream the device in the MV switchgear. La funzione di messa a terra è fornita separatamente a valle dell’interruttore, in basso all’apparecchio nello scomparto MT.

Tank Struttura meccanica All the active parts, circuit breaker and isolating switch, are encapsulated in a stainless steel structure. The thickness is 2.5 mm and is sealed for life. Tutte le parti attive, interruttore e sezionatore, sono rinchiuse in una struttura di acciaio a tenuta stagna di spessore 2,5mm e sigillate per tutta la vita elettrica.

Operating mechanism Meccanismo di comando The use of high tech vacuum interrupters and the limited contact stroke allows a considerable power saving to operate the device and reduced contact wear. The mechanism is equipped with a pre-charged energy storage system granting operator free fast opening and closing operations. It is designed to accept all the standard accessories that market usually require. Single switchgear panel installations Installazione dello scomparto Its compactness and the high safety characteristics together with the internal arching proof let the switchboard be suitable for very small room installations. In order to meet private market requirements, the switchboard can be upgraded of any kind of protection relays against maximum current, earth fault and with differential protection in compliance with any customer requirements and standards as, for instance, CEI 016 regulations. The external earth switch and not integrated into the CB/DS is according to safety recommendations. A fault in the earthing function in relation to a fault of the vacuum interrupter is prevented. Installation commissioning and maintenance operations: Operazioni di installazione e manutenzione ACCEPTANCE OF THE EQUIPMENT Accettazione del materiale When accepting the equipment:

- Make sure that it has not been damaged during transport. - Check that neither the packages nor their contents show any signs of damage.

Standard shipment is as follows: -Switchboard will be fixed on pallet -Protected with plastic or cardboard.

In the event of damage to the packaging or the equipment, please notify immediately to our shipping dept. without delay and make a claim to the shipping company. Quando si accettano i materiali: - Assicurarsi che non ci sono stati danneggiamenti durante il trasporto - Controllare che né l’imballo né il contenuto mostrino segni di danneggiamento. Il trasporto standard è il seguente: - Scomparti fissati al pallet - Protezioni con plastica o cartone In caso di danneggiamento dell’imballo o delle apparecchiature, si prega di comunicarlo tempestivamente al nostro trasportatore, senza ritardi e formalizzando il reclamo all’azienda di trasporto. HANDLING Movimentazione For lifting operations, observe strictly the anchoring drawings. The ropes from the attachment points to the crane hook must form an angle not exceeding 50º. During lifting operation avoid any abrupt stops or dangerous swinging. When moving on a trolley, use only the pallet provided. Per operazioni di sollevamento, osservare scrupolosamente lo schema di ancoraggio. Le funi dai punti di sollevamento ai golfari devono formare un angolo non superiore ai 50°. Durante le operazioni di sollevamento evitare fermate improvvise o movimenti pericolosi. Quando si movimenta con un carrello, usare solo strumenti adatti. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Istruzioni di sicurezza Before doing any maintenance operation it is mandatory to:

- Put power off - Ground the system

The above operations have to cover the section of the switchgear involved and include the power and auxiliary circuits. Just in case of emergency few elements of the switchgear could be kept in service and, in any case, do not remove any separator or panel before checking that it is out of service and with the system grounded. Thus:

- Follow safety procedures - Use operating detector - Use danger indications - Maintenance should be done with the presence of at least two persons

Prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione è obbligatorio: - Interrompere l’alimentazione - Mettere a terra il sistema. Le precedenti operazioni devono proteggere la sezione del quadro coinvolta e riguardano i circuiti ausiliari e di potenza. Solo in caso di emergenza pochi elementi dello scomparto possono essere tenuti in funzione e, in ogni caso, non rimuovere separatori o pannelli prima di aver verificato che la parte è fuori servizio ed il sistema messo a terra. Quindi: - seguire le procedure di sicurezza - Usare rilevatori di funzionamento ed indicatori di pericolo - La manutenzione dovrebbe essere fatta i presenza di almeno 2 persone.

MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE Procedure di manutenzione In order to guarantee the switchgear correct operation and a sound duration in time, perform all the maintenance operations at least one time every 36 months. Ordinary maintenance could be integrated by other operations depending by the product peculiar requirements or by the operating environment. Such operations will be indicated accordingly for each single batch if out of standard operating conditions are present in the Customer specifications Al fine di garantire il corretto funzionamento dello scomparto e la giusta durata nel tempo, eseguire tutte le operazioni di manutenzione almeno una volta ogni 36 mesi. La manutenzione ordinaria può essere integrata da altre operazioni dipendenti dai requisiti peculiari del prodotto o dall’ambiente in cui l’IMS opera. Tali operazioni saranno indicate in accordo per ogni singolo lotto se condizioni operative fuori standard sono presenti nelle specifiche del cliente. GENERAL INSPECTION Ispezione generale Elements to be inspected: Elementi da ispezionare A) Metallic enclosure: in case of dirt or scratches, clean and amend B) Painted and zinc plated parts: in case of dirt, grease or rust, clean and remove it C) Hinges: clean in case of dirtiness D) Locks: clean in case of dirtiness E) Mechanical drives: in case of dust or rust, clean and remove it F) Main, derivative and joint bus bars: in case of discharge signs, black dust, loose screws, clean with solvent, remove oxidation signs with emery cloth, tighten the screws to specified torque. G) External connections, Power and Auxiliary circuits: in case of discharge signs, black dust clean with solvent, remove oxidation signs with emery cloth H) Mechanical interlocks: in case of bad interlock performance, check the adjustments A) Chiusura metallica: in caso di sporco o graffi, pulire e riparare. B) Parti in lamiera verniciata o zincata: in caso di sporco, grasso o ruggine, pulire e rimuoverla C) Cerniere: pulire in caso di sporco D) Serrature: putire in caso di sporco E) Comando meccanico: in caso di polvere o ruggine, pulire e rimuovere F) Barre principali, secondarie e di collegamento: nel caso di segni di scarica, polvere nera, viti mancanti, pulire con solvente, rimuovere i segni di ossidazione, con panno ruvido, serrare le viti con la forza prevista. G) Connessioni esterne, circuiti di alimentazione ed ausiliari: nel caso di segni di scarica, pulire la polvere nera con solventi, rimuovere segni di ossido con un panno. H) Interblocchi meccanici: in caso di funzionamento non buono dell’interblocco, eseguire la riparazione INTERVENTIONS IN CASE OF MALFUNCTION Interventi in caso di malfunzionamento The service should not be necessary if the scheduled maintenance is efficient and installation procedure is correct (i.e. operating the equipment within the limits stated by the manufacturer). Il servizio non dovrebbe essere necessario se la manutenzione programmata è efficiente e la procedura di installazione è corretta. ORDINARY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE Procedure di ordinaria manutenzione Only the command switch lubrication should be executed with the breaker in the open position and with spring discharged, line switch in open position and earth switch in closed position.

1. Remove the front protection casing removing before the selector mechanical switch 2. Perform No.3 mechanical opening and closing of the circuit breaker, the line switch and the earthing switch

checking the proper functioning of the system 3. Lubricate the areas of the command indicated in relation to the type of command

La lubrificazione del comando deve essere eseguita solo con l’interruttore in posizione di aperto e con molle scariche, il sezionatore di linea in posizione di aperto e il sezionatore di terra chiuso. 1) Rimuovere il carter di protezione frontale svitando prima il selettore meccanico 2) eseguire 3 operazioni di apertura e chiusura dell’interruttore, del sezionatore di linea e di terra per testare la funzionalità del sistema 3) lubrificare le aree di comando indicate in relazione al tipo di comando. NB. Do not remove the plate interlocks to prevent accidental tampering of the interlocks themselves or of the switch. N.B.
