Single Phase Series Inverter
The circuit diagram of series inverter is
shown in figure. It consist of LoadResistance R in series with Commutatingcomponents L and C. The value of L and Care so chosen that the RLC circuit forms anunder damped circuit. The two thyristors

parameters: Inductance L=6mH,capacitance C=1.2 microfarad, loadresistance R=100 ohms, Toff =0.2ms. If theload resistance is varied from 40 to 140ohms, find out the range of outputfrequency.

Single Phase Parallelinverter
The Basic Inverter circuit for a singlephase parallel inverter is shown in figure. Itconsist of two thyristors T1 and T2 andinductor L and capacitor commutated withcentre tapped transformer. The out putvoltage and current are V0 and i0 respectively.
