A SMP meeting was held 04 November at the 62 Area Active Duty Recreation Center. HM2 Peterson called the meeting to order at 0902. List of those in attendance is provided on the sign in sheet attachment 1, the meeting agenda can be found in Attachment 2. 2. Gen Woodworth – Commanding General MCI West – Welcomed those in attendance, pushed the importance of the SMP Representatives and thanked them for their attendance. 3. HM2 Peterson - opened the floor for old or new issues - Old Issues o Bldg. 140090: shower leaks all over room. Talked to BEQ Manager, suggested to submit a trouble ticket— not present, no update. o Bldg. 1397 1st Radio Battalion: water damage caused ceiling to collapse over washer weeks ago with no repair. Advised to submit a trouble ticket and alert BEQ Manager. Ticket was processed and patched however the root of the problem was not fixed, and the problem reoccurred. New ticket being submitted. New Issues o 33 Area: Requested refrigerators and microwaves for the barracks, contacted base property but they don’t have any to issue. Referred to Bachelor Housing. o 41404: Door locks are not working, area maintenance has been notified. Directed to self-help catalog for battery replacement instructions and cleaning solution for locks that may help keep locks operational. 4. Mr. Michael Rumbaua – Bachelor Housing – BEQ Managers’ Course: Wednesday November 17 EMH/UHM Training: Thursdays, (0800-1200) Bldg 1341 "Marine Manor. Crime: Larceny and private property damage are on the rise over the last month. Reviewed process for submitting BAH packages and how to address bed bugs. Stressed importance of BEW Managers accurately reporting occupancy rate. Gen. Woodworth addressed barracks issues regarding the occupancy rate and maintenance, asks that BEQ managers are accurately reporting numbers to avoid potential future closure of barracks do to non-use. 5. Mr. Roberto Chavez - Food, Leisure, Hospitality and Services Drink shortages due to ongoing supply shortage with the distributor for vending machines is being resolved. Promoted Recreation Shooting Range Amazon Lockers in 22 Area will be arriving in December or January timeframe. 52 Area car wash is being upgraded and reopening this month. 6. fitness centers. 8. Mr. James Koch- Outdoor Adventures

• November 19th, 1000-1400: San Clemente Trails • November 26th, 0800-1000: Post-Thanksgiving Ride in Juliet Training Area • Weekly gravel ride in Mike November Area behind barracks 220191 at 1100 every

Wednesday. • Free events, open to active duty base wide. Private Unit PT Functions are also

available.

09. Ms. Danielle West – Department Head Active Duty and Unit Recreation • Calendar updates: winter trips to resume; requesting input from council on whether

to run events M-Thu for lower cost, or Friday events for easier accessibility at a higher cost. Requesting input by next month’s meeting.

• Recreation center renovation schedule: 24 Area is open, and 21 Area will be closed for renovations.
