Also known as Persekutuan Silat Singapura (PERSISI), and was gazettedon 25 June 1976, and is registered with the Registry of Societies (UENS76SS0039A).
Singapore Silat Federation has been successfully registered andrenewing with Institution of a Public Character (IPC000526) yearly, andreceived its Charity status under the Charities Act since April 2011.
Previously, Singapore Silat Federation was certified with ISO9001:2008in November 2009, and we have upgraded its certification withISO9001:2015 in 2018.

• We are working closely hand-in-hand with Sport Singapore(SportSG), Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC),People’s Association (PA), International Federation, AsianFederation, in order to sustain the awareness of the sportlocally and internationally.
• We are also working closely with local organisations on fewother areas; MENDAKI, SINDA, and Jamiyah Singapore.

Pencak Silat
Pencak Silat is a martial art believedstemming the majority from theMalay Archipelago and Indonesian’sheritage. It translated to “fighting bymany techniques of self defense”. Ithas four main components – mentalspirit, art and culture, self defense,and sport.

Pencak Silat Artistic (Seni) Display
Details
Date : 18 to 19 December 2020
Venue : Silat Hall, Heartbeat@Bedok (No Audience)
Time : 10am to 10am (24-hours running)
Target ParticipantsSingapore Silat Federation have more than thirty (30)recognized Silat Clubs, and will be inviting its affiliates toparticipate in the display. Affiliates will be given certificate ofparticipation and letter of appreciation, whereas T shirts andfood will be given to the participants.
Estimated Participation : 500 pax
Participating Fee : NIL
ParticipantsSingapore Silat Federation will issue certifications and anappreciation letter to the clubs and participants.
Event T-shirts (TBC) will also be given to all participants.
Singapore Silat Federation will also cater food and drinks to all
participants, working committee, volunteers and crews.

Each Participant to Display a minimum of one-minute ArtisticSilat movements. No restrictions.

Participants will perform based on donations or funds which weredonated or raised by donors.
Live donation on the event day.

SSF target is to raise approximately SGD$500,000
Fundraising Activity
Singapore Silat Federation will offer training via company levelor as an individual who wishes to perform during the event.
Attires will be available on loan for the performances.

Donors Benefit – Tax Deductible DonationClaiming Tax Deductible Donations
Tax deduction is given for donations made in the preceding year. For example, if an individual makes a donationin 2019, tax deduction will be allowed in his tax assessment for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2020.
You are not required to declare the donation amount in your income tax return. Tax deductions for qualifyingdonations will be automatically reflected in your tax assessments based on information from the IPC. IRAS willno longer except claims for tax deduction based on donation receipts.
Requirement to Produce Identification to IPCs
From 1 January 2011, all individuals and businesses are required to provide their full name and identification(e.g. NRIC/FIN/UEN) when making donations to the IPCs in order to be given tax deductions on the donations.
Donation Receipts
When donations are tax deductible, the donation receipts issued by approved IPCs will indicate “TAXDEDUCTIBLE”.
Approved donations made during the period 1 Jan 2016 to 31 Dec 2021 is eligible for 2.5 times tax deduction.

Tax Deductible DonationCarrying Forward of Unutilised Tax Deduction for Donations to IPCs
When the tax deduction for the donation is more than the income forthe year, the existing qualifying donor (i.e. individuals, companies,trusts, bodies of persons) is allowed to carry forward the unutiliseddeductions for a maximum of five years.
For example, a donation made in 2018 and allowed tax deduction inYear Assessment (YA) 2019, will be allowed to be carried forward (if taxdeduction for donation exceeds the income for 2018) up to YA 2024.
