I. Summary
Sinderela, a classic fairytale with elements of love, magic, wishes, and dance resulted in a
fun and enchanted ballet production last December 2, 2012 at the Aliw Theatre. In Sinderela, the
prince becomes Al Principe, a matinee idol who holds a dance search for her leading lady. With
the eagerness of Sinderelas wicked sisters, they planned to enrol in a ballet workshop. As
Sinderela watches them dance, she was able to pick-up the steps and practice it. One day, when
Sinderela was cleaning she saw a beggar with an apple. Without hesitation, Sinderela gave her
the fruit not knowing that the lady is her fairy godmother. With the help of her godmother, Tita
Nia, Sinderela was able to show off her dancing skills which are far more refined than those of
her wicked stepsisters. Her stepsisters cannot accept the fact that Sinderelas dancing skills were
more refined than them. They tried to bribe the ballet instructor to teach them more patiently.
They also begged for Al Principes assistant to pick them as his leading ladies but fate and
destiny conspired to Sinderelas luck. At the grand audition day where all the ballerinas and
leading lady aspirant went, each of them showcased their moves to attract Al Principe. They
were all dancing round and round but none of them had the chance to be Al Principes leading
lady. The stepsisters together with their mother also came and had their auditions. Despite having
ballet tutorials, they were not fortunate enough to be picked as the leading lady of the matinee
idol. They were all furious and frustrated including the prince because none of them were able to
reach his standards. The judgement came when Sinderela arrived at the audition. She was loved
by other guys because of her grace in dancing. Al Principe was also stunned by her and was
chosen to be his leading lady. But as the typical Cinderella story goes, Sinderela left her slippers
at the audition house because of this, the prince was cheerless but he never lose hope and was
able to find the owner of the slippers. They had the chance to show their gift of dancing and lived
happily ever after.

II. Insight
Knowing the story of Cinderella (Sinderela) I was able to give value for patience.
Patience in a way that all of us will also be able to have a spotlight directly pointing at us. It is
never too late to dream that one day, someday, these dreams will turn into a reality. I personally
believe that everyone of us is entitled for dreaming and wishing but not everyone of us is able to
attain it. As what I have read, Goals that are not written down are merely wishes. We as
humans are capable to achieving these wishes. It only lies into our persistence and determination
to be able to reach for it. In contrast to Sinderelas story that was helped by a fairy godmother, us
humans doesnt have one. The only commonality we have with the story is that when Sinderela
had the chance, she grabbed it. She did not stop until she was able to execute the dance perfectly
and she did it with heart thats the reason why she was chosen as the leading lady. In almost all
fairytales, luck was prevalent but in reality it is the least we can cling to in order for us to be
successful and remarkable human beings. Another thing that I would like to give importance to is
the value of giving. In fairytale stories, there are scenes that will test the protagonists ability to
give that was also evident in Sinderela when there was a lady who asked for an apple and later
turned into a fairy. In a mans perspective, we seldom give. We think that giving will make us
lesser individuals. If we give alms to the poor, we think that nothing will be left of us. But let us
remember the teaching of our Dear Lord Jesus Christ that whatever we give will return a hundred
folds for us. I would like to commend those people who share what they have and do not expect
something in return. I would like to make people realize that giving will not make them less
individuals instead an individual with a huge heart greater than any other gold in this world. I
would like people to believe that social status is not a hindrance for dreaming and aiming high
instead a motivation to be more determined in achieving a goal. I would like to tell everyone, my
classmates, my friends, my family, and the people I meet in everyday living that we must live in
positivity that all our wishes and goals will come true only if we use our mind and feel by heart.
That whatever hindrance or challenge that will stop us from aiming high, we should rememberthat God will be our light and guidance and that we should take one step at a time. Goals and
dreams are reflections of who we are. We must attain these goals for us to serve as an inspiration
for others.
