In this second symposium, as a first step toward presenting and realizing a new shape for management, education and society through the recognition and diffusion of the Inamori Management Philosophy, Professor Yoshinori Hiroi of Kyoto University explores in his keynote address the ideal shape of a new form of capitalism, while Professor Emeritus Ikujiro Nonaka of Hitotsubashi University joins a panel discussion, and many others give presentations approaching the topic from the perspectives of philosophy and brain science. These are accompanied by presentations of results of research into the strengths of companies with ideals, including interviews with Kyocera, KDDI, JAL and Seiwajyuku member companies, and survey results. Furthermore, Professor John Yang of Peking University will discuss the Inamori Management Philosophy from an international perspective. Many researchers, company executives and business people feel a sense of crisis over the
