Framework Fabrication

In order to obtain an optimal bond between the Opaque and the Titanium-framework, please follow the Titanium manufacturer’s indications.

1. Mix the Opaque-powder and the opaque liquid to a creamy consistency.

2. Apply the Opaque powder onto the clean framework in a thin and even coat with a glass instrument until an optimal coverage of the framework has been obtained.

FIRST OPAQUE BAKE

1. After the opaque application, place the crown or bridge on a bake tray at a start-up temperature of 400°C.

2. Heat the crown or bridge to 800°C at a rate of 55K per minute and start vacuum at 450°C.

Hold time: 2 minutes without vacuum.

Closing time: 4 minutes

SECOND OPAQUE BAKE

If first opaque application does not provide complete coverage, apply second coat and fire according to instructions for the first opaque bake (800°C)
