"San" is a title o respect added to a name. (so it can not be used when reerring to onesel.)"!a" and "o" are particles. They are like nglish prepositions# but they always come aternouns. $articles are very important or proper %apanese sentence structure. & will introducethem gradually later.

'omposing uestions in %apanese is easy The word order remains the same# and a sentencebecomes a uestion by adding the particle "ka" at the end. *uestion marks are not used in%apanese.

Tanaka+san waringo o tabemasu ka.

田中さんはりんごを食べますか。

,oes Mr. Tanaka eat apples-

Tom+san wa terebi o mimashita ka.

トムさんはテレビを見ましか。
