IEEE Std 841™

The SIMOTICS LP100 Vertical Solid Shaft (VSS) motor meet the applicable requirements or “intent” of IEEE Std. 841™ with features such as:

• Non-Contacting seal on DE (Inpro/Seal®)

• Balance and shaft runout

• Class F insulation with 80˚C temperature rise at 1.0 Service Factor by resistance

• Moisture and oil resistant barrier for leads

• Corrosion-resistant, replaceable automatic drainage fittings

• Birth certificate (unwitnessed vibration test)

API 610 Motor requirements

Bearings rating life:• Located at the non-drive end • Equivalent to at least 25000 h with continuous operation at pump rated conditions

Thrust bearings:• Shaft-to-drive mating face perpendicularity and surface 25 μm (0.001n in)• Shaft to drive registered maximum run out 100 μm (0.004n in)• Maximum shaft run out with rotor rotating freely 25 μm (0.001n in)• Maximum axial float 125 μm (0.005n in)
