INTRODUCTION
The mining claims
claim group consists of sixty-four (64) unpatented eight (8) of which are included in this report.
On August 23, 2002, the start of a recut and two man chaining in the 1998 north/south grid was started. The picket lines are 100 meters apart and stations every 25 meters. Recut contracted to Alain Pariscoat. The two man chaining was performed by Gwen Resources Ltd. Magnetometer sur vey was done by Mr. John Perron, one vlf station, maps and reports were done by Miss Wendy K. Weller.
The line spacing is approximately 100 meters and the sta tions were cut and measured every 25 meters.
Tie line 300 South was re-established and read.
Ownership of the aforementioned unpatented mining claims has been attested to by Gwen Resources Ltd., and was not indepen dently ascertained by the writer.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The Silverside-64 Grid is located north and south of east-west boundary of Thackeray and Garrison Townships.
the
The Silverside-64 Grid is in the Larder Lake Mining Division, and they are within the jurisdiction of Kirkland Lake Resident Geologist.
Access is from Kirkland Lake towards the east for 13 kilometers to the Harker-Holloway road (Highway 672) north for 25 kilometers to logging road #49 than 13 kilometers north/west to Silverside-64 Grid.

1986 - Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. Induced Polarization Survey

1997 - Magnetometer 4 Electromagnetic Surveys December 22, 1997.
Ownership is attested to by Deak Resources Ltd. of 103 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and was not independently ascertained by the writer.
GENERAL GEOLOGY
L. S. Jensen (O.G.S. Report 165) states that the predominate underlying bedrock is mainly basaltic and andesitic volcanic rocks of the Tholeiite Suite.
((Volcanic rocks of Thackeray Township appear to have been deposited on the northern flanks of volcanics)).
tuffs.Tholeiitic volcanic rocks are a sequence of lava flows and
The tholeiitic sequence is composed of three rock types; low Iron, magnesium-rich tholeiitic basalt, Iron-rich basalt and tholeiitic rhyolite. (Shown in Figure "Id) Table l - Table of Lithologic units).
a) FauU:
L. S. Jensen (O.G.S. 165) states ((lineaments are long linear valleys and depressions partly filled with alluvium and occupied by streams. These lineaments represent narrow shear zones or faults.)) As shown on Table 2 - Figure le) the north/west fault goes through the Thackeray Creek System.
b) Munro Esker:
The Thackeray Creek System is located in the center of the Munro Esker. The Munro Esker is a vast area of Glaciofluvial well sorted strata of medium and coarse-greenish sands, gravel large erratics. Due to the errosions of the Munro Esker, the rela tionship between faults, and the net-slips of faults cannot be determined accurately.

TOPOGRAHY
Throughout the grid north and south of the baseline, there are many old and new beaver pond systems feeding into Thackeray Creek.
The vegetarion ranges from jack pine replant on the glacial esker (in the north/west side of the group) to thick alder and poplar swamps in the east side of the grid.
INSTRUMENTATION
Magnetometer Survey:
This system uses a backward motion of spinning protons of a hydrogen atom within fluid of hydrogen and carbon. These spinning magnetic protons are caused to have two opposite poles by applying a magnetic fluid using a current within a coil of wire. This frequency of precision is proportional to the earth's total magnetic field.
This Instrument 1s read directly 1n gammas which is the absolute value of the earth's total field for that station.
The diurnal variation was monitored by closing each loop at any secondary check station, at a grid line, baseline intersection. Diurnal corrections were applied by linear distribution of any observed variation over the time between base stations.
Electromagnetic Survey:
The VLpnEM method1 uses as a. source, several of the main sub marine communications transmitters in the 15 to 25 kHz band found throughout the world,
The submarine communication radio waves travel In a si^jlo mode parallel to the surfaces of the e.irth along the earth-air inter- ace.
VLF instruments are capable of picking up any structures that change the direction of the waves by measuring the tilt angle being zero on flat ground, but when a conductor is present, the tilt angle will acquire a finite value. The direction of tilt indicates the direction of the conductor.
Calculations of such parameters as depth, depth extent, dip and width of the conductors is very minimal.
The VLF easily illustrates the location of the upper "M^K
-4-
of dipping structures which can be seen or plotted as VLF profiles as areas of greatest change in tilt angle per unit of distance.
The instrument used for this survey was a Geonics EM-16 Unit. The sensitivity of this unit is l* for the inphase and l* for the quadrature. The operating frequency for the EM-16 from 15-25 kHz and the station is made by plug-in units.
Further information on the VLF and the magnetometer can be found in the back of this report on the Technical Data and Assessment forms.
PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
i) Magnetometer Survey 1998:
The field data is presented on Map No. SS/2002/mag at a scale of 1:2500 meters, found in the back of this report.
The magnetic data is illustrated as isomagnetic con tours, contour intervals 50 to 100 gammas, on a map of corrected magnetic values recorded at each station.
The magnetic relief ranges from 57,444 gammas to 58,283 gammas, difference of 839 gammas.
The magnetic trend is in a north/east direction. Thereis not much of a difference in the magnetic relief this usuallymeans no or very slight difference in the host rock in the area.
i i) Electromagnetic Survey:
The field data is compiled on the Map No. SS/2002/vlf at a scale of 1:2500 meters, found at the back of this report.
It was decided to use the Seattle, Washington station in the survey, due to the direction of the old picket lines.
In this survey 4 distinctive contacts were found:
Ql - Crosses PL600E 724N to PL700E 765N.The area is wet thick alder swamp. This contact is in the same direction as the magnetic trend for the area. The quadrature is negative.
Q2 - Crosses PL600E 075N to PL700E 121N.The area is poplar, alder swamp. The contact is found along the south edge of a large magnetic low that crosses three quarters of this section of grid. The quadrature is positive.
03 - Crosses PL800E 400N to PL/OOOE 500N.The topography of this section of grid is a steep ravine
-5-
running in the same direction as the contact. This contact may possibly be a northeast fault off the main Canyon Fault that runs North/South along Thackeray Creek System.
Q4 - Crosses PL1000E 200E to PL1200E 250N.This contact is also found along the south edge of the large magnetic low system that crosses the property. Also this contact could be caused by water.
OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS
At the present time the rest of the 1998 grid is being re-cut and two man chained. Due to the amount of blodown and very heavy growth around the alder swamps the old picket lines were re-turned and followed as closely as possible to the original lines.
Both magnetometer and VLE-EM Surveys will be completed in the next month.
Respectfully submitted,
October 2, 2002 Miss Wendy K. WellerGeotech
