CONTINUOUS service in bathroomsand over lav-
atories has proved that heat, cold and moisture
have no effect whatever on ^iec£»£KcWte«>- Seam-
less, Metal Framed Mirrors. The design, construc-
tion, special preparation of material and method of
assembling have made this achievement possible.
The mirror plate and metal back with moisture pad
are held tightly in the frame b}r an invisible, mechan-
ical arrangement at the back and sides, at the same
time providing for the unequal expansion and con-
traction of glass and metal. It is this structural
arrangement that protects the mirror plate from
injury and possible displacement in shipping, han-
dling and service.
The outstanding characteristics of elegance, dur-
ability, completeness and individuality are convinc-
ing evidence of the intrinsic value of mirrors bearing

SftaS&sSaSKi&s** Soap Dishes
The Use and Result of Proper Material
and Right Construction
in Soap Dishes
SOAP dishes which will prevent the collection
of unclean deposits must be made of the right
material, simple in form, and free from unnecessary
joints and corners.
The soap dishes illustrated on the following pages
have metal parts of heavy brass, polished, buffed
and nickel plated. The ceramic parts are annealed
to insure durability.
The drainers are of the proper depth and not easily
displaced or injured. They are so constructed that
the soap will dry quickly and not adhere thereto.
With proper material and right construction we
have a soap dish for every requirement that is artis-
tic, practical, easily cleaned, and therefore sanitary.

Figure A, shows form as we make it in our process of securing an inde-
structible joint.
Figure B, shows rod in Figure A after reforming.
Figure C, shows the rod in Figure B tightly closed by great pressure
around the transverse piece. Proper soldering then secures a symmetrical,
indestructible joint.
This method of construction is original and exclusive with us and fixtures
made in this way give the greatest security and value.

GheS&SKssofw Towel Bars
PRACTICAL TOWEL BARSMethod of Construction and Utility
COMBINED fitness in design, proper material
and right construction make our towel bars
distinctive.
Fitness requires simple designs, smooth surfaces
and forms.
Towel bars with these characteristics cost more for
material and finish but they are easily cleaned, there-
fore sanitary, and new in appearance for an indefinite
number of 3rears.
Brass or annealed glass rods are used in all our
towel bars.
All joints, wherever desirable, are silver soldered,
making them as strong as the material itself and the
wall plates are immovably secured by flanged sleeves
which are sweated in, to reenforce the joint much the
same as with a bicycle frame.
The short lengths in series 1600 and 1900 are usedfor hand bars over bath tubs. The 1612 has beentested up to a pull of 600 lbs. The larger ones are
correspondingly strong.
Hand Bars are a safeguard over all modern tubs to
prevent accidental falls, and are a great aid to the
heavy, sick or aged bather.

Swing Towel Bars—Brass, Nickel Plated
Brasscrafters No. 2100 series of bars are constructed to last indefinitely under the service
to which swing towel bars are subjected. A ^" steel rod is the pivot upon which the bars swing.
This rod passes through the ball and bar. It is screwed into the brackets so that the pillar balls
at the top and bottom function as lock-nuts.

Crystal Glass Towel Bars Brass Trimmings, Nickel Plated
( Standardized
)
How Moisture and Unclean Deposits are Excluded and Possible Replacement
of Rod Facilitated in "Standardized" Glass Towel Bars
Glass rods as made for towel bars vary greatly in diameter and form on the ends, so that two ends of an individual
rod may be very different in size and shape.
This irregularity makes moisture type joints directly between the glass and the metal brackets impossible and
repair or replacement difficult and annoying.
Our perfected crystal and opal glass towel bars are "standardized" by securely fixing on the ends of each rod a
metal cap having a standard sized stud, or projection, perfectly adapted to fit tightly in the standardized hole in metal
brackets, thus insuring the exclusion of moisture and unclean deposits in the brackets and facility for possible replace-
ment of the glass rod.

PLATE GLASS SHELVESPolished plate glass or vitrolite glass shelves are more readily cleaned
than those of wood or marble and are not affected by acids, oils, or
medicines. Shelves clamped tight to the wall collect dirt at point
of contact and arc unsanitary. Our shelf brackets with the fixed
back stop and adjustable front clamp hold the glass securely, thus
preventing accidental displacement without drilling holes in glass
which tend to invite breakage with the slightest strain.
COMBINATIONSWhen limited space in the bathroom is a factor and the elimination
of a large number of holes in marble, tile, or plastered walls is desired,
our practical and beautiful combinations may be fastened to the walls
with a minimum number of screws.
TOOTH BRUSH AND TUMBLERHOLDERS
The tooth brush and tumbler are among the most important articles
in a bathroom. A suitable place should be provided for both.
Our tumbler holders have perforated or open bottoms to prevent
the accumulation of dust and moisture.
The tooth brush spreaders are made of two conical pieces, one be-
neath the other, with holes suitably spaced to hold the brushes in
a vertical position without touching each other.

Progress and Result of Search and Experiment
For A White Finish Which We Could
Guarantee in Legitimate Use
IN1904 we were the first to make successful White Finished Brass Mirror
Frames. This success led to a general inquiry and demand for a white
finish on all bathroom fittings. We recognized this demand, but experi-
ence and experiment convinced us that our mirror frame process of finish was
not adapted to soap dishes, paper holders, towel bars, etc.; and we were there-
fore compelled to seek another method, before we could place upon the market
a really good, worth-the-money product, to which we were willing to attach our
trade-mark and guarantee tag.
With all this demand we did not forget our responsibilitj' to the consumer and in
answer to demands for White Goods, we were compelled to state that no white
finish for this class of goods had been produced, which was worth its cost to the
ultimate consumer. Finally, in 1913 after nine years, we succeeded—not by any
commercial processes, but by an entirely new and distinctly different method
—
in producing the &ftfif^^>cf<%M/ which we were justified in guaranteeing.
White goods for the bathroom must possess the two characteristics
—
beauty and
durability. Regarding the former the e>iV^(&H4T:EJt<y wln speak for itself.
Eegarding the latter you are protected by our guarantee.
The customer should bear in mind that any white surface, be it paper, silk, paint,
enamel, or ivory, soon shows the effect of soil and abuse. However, this fact
does not necessarily detract from its value. You are compelled to treat your
watch with a certain amount of respect, yet you would not dispense with the samefor this reason. The same applies to our White Bathroom Fixtures. Given the
natural reasonable care which a beautiful article merits, they will last for manyyears. If the surface becomes soiled, warm water and soap will make it spotless
again. Scouring or the use of chemical cleaners is not necessary.
We know from test and experience that our C>iV'j&H4>Tc:E:t4' has a six, eight,
or ten times greater factor of safety against chipping than any other white nowon the market, and we do therefore guarantee it for legitimate use.
Concha-head screws for putting up S^j)&m45',-C' !'y fixtures are packed with
each piece.

FITNESS, MATERIAL AND RESULT
THE presence of moisture and steam in the bathroom makes products
manufactured of wood undesirable and the employment of metal
necessary.
It was natural for us to reproduce our metal frame mirrors, towel bars, shelves,
combinations, etc., in <3f\fi|5l44,7':fi5M'
Because of the employment of simple forms, smooth surfaces, tight joints, and
proper material, these fixtures possess the two characteristics,—beauty and
durability.
"STRUCTURAL" MIRRORS
THESE mirrors have frames with moulded web or flange at the outside
border. This web or flange is not mitered at the corners but, like
the frames of all our mirrors, is wrought of one piece and it is this
web or flange on the border of the mirror frame
which makes the whole a structural part of the
panel or wall whereon it is placed. No openings
or changes are required in marble or tile walls to
install these and make them a part of the structure.

In designing the Recess Medicine Cabinets with Pier-Type Mirror Doors, we have attained some-thing original and unusually beautiful. From the illustration you will see that the appearance isthat of a large mirror. The body of the cabinet with its smooth, seamless interior, three adjust-able white glass shelves, and ample capacity, is entirely concealed behind the mirror.
The motifs for the mirror designs are taken from famous Roman baths, and cut, not etched, uponthe silvered side of the mirrors so that the front surface is clean and smooth.
The one-piece body and the door frame are steel secured from corrosion by an approved processand finished m S^/^\^^w

RECESS
ONE PIECE STEEL MEDICINE CABINETS
Some of the reasons why Satisfaction
is assured
These cabinets are made entirely of steel secured from corrosion
by application of an approved process.
The durable finish is the SiV^Hi^'C"'
The shelf rests are securely fixed, but instantly adjustable. (See
sectional cut Page 61.)
The shelves are pure white vitrolite glass, impervious to acids
and chemicals.
The mirror door is plain French plate glass, in seamless metal
frame, with moisture pad, flush-fitting metal back, china knob
in combination with spring latch, concealed hinge flanges, and
loose pin for convenience in detaching the door.
The body and molding are integral, or are made so by oxyacetyl-
ine welding, thus securing a cabinet without joints, seams or
cracks.
The Brass Cylinder Lock, when ordered, (see page 61), is designed
and fitted to insure security and is free from construction defects.
These cabinets require no finishing, either inside or outside, at
the building. They are delivered complete and are ready for
immediate installation, which is completed by using two woodscrews in holes provided in the middle of the vertical sides.
Guaranteed satisfaction.
