“A Revolutionary

BreakthroughSilicate Technology!“

in

After 16 years of the most intensivelaboratory research as well as numer-ous tests and field studies in practice,Remmers has achieved an absolutebreakthrough in silicate technology. For the very first time, thanks tosophisticated silicate technology, it ispossible to develop products that areextremely resistant yet easy to workand also affordable.

The new silicate technology far sur-passes all of the materials used so farsuch as epoxy resins or cement mor-tars. Remmers has now redevelopedtwo proved products using this revolu-tionary silicate technology. The resultsgained in practice are overwhelming.Remmers will use this enormousadvantage in the future as well andbring further products based on thisnew technology on the market.Tomorrow's technology today!

REMMERS JOINT FILLER SF 1Numerous application areas through a revolutionary silicate technology

Along with high mechanical loadssuch as high pressure cleaning atextremely high temperatures or abra-sive grinding and shear loads, theinfluence of aggressive chemicalloads from acids, lyes, oils, grease, etc. is usually also present.

Especially in this combination, con-ventional joints just don't hold upwell. With SF 1, Remmers has devel-oped a joint sealer that can be sub-jected to extreme loads. SF 1 can beused without any problem in a multi-tude of applications. The joints areeasily filled without much expenditureof energy and can be wiped off afterreacting with water for just a shortperiod, even without the use of acleaning agent. The sealing materialcan also be worked as of temperatu-res of + 2 °C.

And the best part:The surfaces can be used again soonafterward so there are no unneces-sary down-times - an added value forworkers and building owners.

MIXING RATIO

Remmers SF 1, which is packaged in 5 kgunits, is added to approx. 700 to 750 ml cleanwater.

MIXING SF 1

Remmers SF 1 is mixed with a mixer forapprox. 60 seconds. The mixture is allowed tomature for approx. 4 minutes and is thenmixed again for approx. 60 seconds.

JOINTING WITH SF 1

After any soiling has been removed from thetiles with a slightly damp sponge float,Remmers SF 1 can be easily filled (withexcess material) in the joint space, using afloat offered in the Remmers Tool Programme.

SURFACES WITH FINISHED SF 1

Finished surfaces jointed with Remmers SF 1can be used after just a short reaction time.

WASHING THE INITIALLYREACTED SF 1

After a reaction time of approx. 15 minutes,Remmers SF 1 is slightly emulsified with waterfirst. This makes it easy to wash off the sur-face afterward.

REMOVING ANY REMAININGFILLER RESIDUE

After initial drying, the entire surface is clean-ed again with clean, clear water.

REMMERS WATERPROOFING GROUT SD 1Versatile Application Possibilities through Perfect Silicate Technology

Particularly in industrial and agricul-tural areas, the properties that aredemanded for waterproofing and pro-tective systems are actually irreconcil-able: they should have the greatestresistance to mechanical and chemi-cal loads and also be able to with-stand high temperatures.

In these cases, special materials, often in multiple-component varia-tions with difficult working properties, were often applied by specially train-ed personnel from specialist firms. With Remmers SD 1, a new erabegins in terms of application areas, loading capacity and working proper-ties.

SD 1, which is worked like a normal, mineral waterproofing system, is easi-ly applied to walls and floors in agrouting and filling procedure.Depending on load, differently thicklayers or several layers can be ap-plied. After just a short setting period, the building element is permanentlyprotected and perfectly waterproofed.

PRIMING WITH KIESOL

Any soiling or material that could interfere withadhesion should be removed using the Rotecprocedure or a grinding machine. Prime even-ly with Kiesol and water (mixing ratio 1:1).

MIXING SD 1

Remmers SD 1 is added to approx. 600 to650 ml of clean water and mixed for approx. 60seconds with a mixer. After it has matured forapprox. 4 minutes, mix SD 1 again for approx.60 seconds.

SCRAPED STOPPER COAT WITHSD 1

To ensure that all pores are closed, a scrapedstopper coat of Remmers SD 1 can be appliedwithin the reaction time of Kiesol, if necessary.

APPLICATION OF WATERPROOFING

As an alternative, Remmers SD 1 can also beapplied to the scraped stopper coat or the firstlayer of grout with a trowel in the correspondinglayer thickness.

1st LAYER OF GROUT WITH SD 1

As an alternative to a scraped stopper coat, the first layer of grout can be applied with agrouting brush within the Kiesol reaction time.

2nd LAYER OF GROUT WITH SD 1

A second layer of grout can be applied to thefirst layer of grout, wet-on-wet.
