FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR'S DESK

Dear Friends,

I am delighted with this opportunity to share my thoughts and message in this second edition of our ‘Sika Spirit’ and let me start with two words:

"Congratulations" and "Thanks"! Congratulations for realising our optimistic dream of making Sika India a double digit OpEBIT company with an

INR 500+ Crores topline. Thanks for your continued support, committed and passionate efforts and being there with me shoulder to shoulder to

achieve these milestones. Finally, WE DID IT!

We start the New Year on a strong foundation and with tremendous energy and momentum to pursue further our quest for ‘Profitable Growth’ and

achieve our next target of 15% OpEBIT in 2016.

While we feel happy, it is also good to take a de-briefing of what did work for us in achieving this success. Let me put forward a few key points in this

regard:

The overall organisation, over the past six months, have become a much more ‘efficient’ and ‘execution driven’ team;

The ‘Regional’ approach with clarity through ‘Regional Profit & Loss’ made us achieve ‘More with Less’;

The basic but new approach like reducing travel cost on internal meetings through video conferencing brought tremendous productivity with

significant cost reduction;

At the end, we have proven that ‘Less is More’!

Every one of you contributed in these success factors and in true Sika Spirit ensured that we helped each other to finally achieve our targets. I once

again thank each one of you.

We still have a lot to achieve and we have also got a few good learnings from our 2015 experience. Based on both our success factors and learnings,

we have already formalised our strategy and key moves for 2016. Regional GMs and other Functional Heads will be sharing with their respective

team members the strategy and the direction we will take in future.

Our new targets for 2016 are also set with a basic sales value of 549 crore INR (Topline) and 15% OpEBIT (Bottomline). And we will make it happen

with the contribution and support of each one of us.

There will also be some more positive changes in areas like Performance Incentives, Leave Policy etc. which will make our working more exciting.

We also have some exciting new initiatives like Training, Tele Marketing, and a re-organised Sika India website among others. Like in 2015, we shall

continue to reward good performances and will be happier to see more in-house talents coming up and taking higher and expanded responsibilities

for our company.

I wish each of you and your family members a happy and prosperous 2016.

Let's move together and stronger in our quest for ‘Profitable Growth’. I will be grateful to have all of your continued support and good wishes to

make this company bigger and better for future.

SIKA NEWSACCELERATED FOURTH QUARTER GROWTH OF 8.3%

Sika achieved accelerated sales growth of 8.3% in the fourth quarter of 2015, while total sales for the year rose by 6.2% in local currencies. All regions contributed to the broad-based growth, as did investments in new factories and national subsidiaries. An above-average increase in the operating result is expected for the business year 2015. Since the targets set out in Strategy 2018 have been reached ahead of schedule, they are revised upwards. The strong performance underscores the necessity of safeguarding Sika's model for success in the interests of all stakeholders.All regions achieved significant sales growth and market share gains during the business year 2015, with double-digit sales growth in the core markets of the USA, Mexico, Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Group sales were up 6.2% at constant exchange rates. Excluding the negative growth in the Chinese market, sales rose by 7.4%. The strength of the Franc led to conversion effects of -7.7%, and thus to a marginal -1.5% decline in sales in Swiss Franc terms to CHF 5.49 billion.

Sika has opened a new manufacturing site for mortars in Kryoneri, near Athens. In addition to Sika's existing concrete admixture plant in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant will drive forward the mortar business in the country by broadening the current product portfolio and opening up new market segments.The new facility will house a modern laboratory, as well as a concrete admixtures logistics hub for southern Greece. A production unit for liquid applied membranes for waterproofing and roofing applications will be installed in a subsequent step.These new premises allow us to offer our customers an optimized supply chain, a locally produced and enhanced product portfolio and a greater level of customer service.

An MoU has been signed between Sika India and selected Super Distributors of Sika India those are going to play a bigger role as CFA cum Super Distributor and contribute towards further growth. 12 of Sika’s Super Distributors have signed the MoU, with total value of INR 80 Crores as business commitment for the year 2015. The MoU was signed by these distributors in an event arranged by Sika India. Our Managing Director, Mr. Arijit Basu was present in the event and had motivated the Distributors with a highly inspiring presentation. Other than him, Mr. Ujjal Chakraborty (Country Head - Distribution), Mr. Sudip Chaudhuri (CFO), Mr. Alok Shrivastava (Head - Operations) were also present in the meeting .

The MoU with Sales commitment from the Super Distributors along with Sika India's support in sales promotions are the two key points which have given a win-win situation to both. We are aiming to get another 18 such Prime Distributors to realise the total business plan of INR 150 crores in the coming two months.

A NOBLE STEP TOWARDSCOMMUNITY SERVICEThis year Sika India celebrated Diwali on a different note by donating books, toys, and clothes to kids at orphanages and to old people at old age homes.

KALYANIDiwali Celebration of our Kalyani factory team with Bhagirathi Shilpasram, a girls orphanage which was founded in the year 1942 at Simulary, Nadia, West Bengal.This year Sika Kalyani factory team members individually contributed and made the Diwali celebrations brighter for these hundreds of orphan girls with the distribution of gifts.

Prem Sadan, Madh Island, is a branch of the Society of the Helpers of Mary, Andheri (W), Mumbai. Prem Sadan has been actively involved in the development of the community in Madh Island through diverse programmes, responding to the need of the changing times, ever since its inception in 1963. At present it is a well recognized institution and Prem Sadan is known generally as the Home for the Girl Children.

Take a break from the stressor: It may seem difficult to get away from a big project. But when you give yourself permission to step away from it, you let yourself have time to do something else, which can help you to have a new perspective or practice techniques to feel less overwhelmed.

Exercise: A 20-minute walk, run, swim or dance session in the midst of a stressful time can give an immediate effect that can last for several hours.

Smile and laugh: Our brains are interconnected with our emotions and facial expressions. When people are stressed, they often hold a lot of the stress in their face. So laughs or smiles can help relieve some of that tension and improve the situation.

Get social support: Call a friend, send an email. When you share your concerns or feelings with another person, it does help relieve stress. But it is important that the person whom you talk to is someone whom you trust and whom you feel can understand and validate you.

Meditate: Meditation and mindful prayer help the mind and body to relax and focus. Mindfulness can help people see new perspectives, develop self-compassion and forgiveness. When practicing a form of mindfulness, people can release emotions that may have been causing the body physical stress. Much like exercise, research has shown that even meditating briefly can reap immediate benefits.
