Enterprise Academy empowers11-16 year olds in schoolswithin underprivileged areasof Birmingham

SIFE members deliver business workshops tostudents who go on tocreate their own micro-businesses

The aim is to equip students with the confidence and motivation to continue withfurther education or considerstarting their own business

Results:+ £200 profit made from community openday, empowered 108 students since 2011+ Project expanded to 4 schools with themed teachingsessions, including scope for teachers to run sessions.

Sustainability:+ Ability to expand the model to more schools easily+ Students horizons are broadened - higher educationor pursuing a business careers are possibilities for them

We empowered Bulgarian orphans through interactive workshops. We launched a soap making enterprise which allows the orphans control over their own busi-ness. So far we have fulfilled two orders totalling 350 bars of soap. Production will be 200 bars per month

Breaking the Circle tackles the vicious circle of childabandonment in Bulgaria. By providing support and transferring knowledge to Bulgarian orphans we can break the circle that prevents them from living a sustainable, independent future
