REGULATIONS

The tournament will be conducted according to the Kyokushin Karate rules for kumite, semi-contact kumite and kata.

COMPETITIONS AND CATEGORIES

1. The kumite competition (18+ years) will be held as a single-elimination cup in the following categories:

men categories: -70kg, -80kg, over 80kg women categories: - 55kg, -65kg, over 65kg

2. Semi-contact kumite will be held as a single-elimination cup in the following categories: Juniors boys (16-17 years) categories: -55kg, -65 kg, -75 kg, over 75 kg Juniors girls (16-17 years) categories: -50 kg, over 50 kg

Children boys (14-15 years) categories: -55kg, -60kg, -65kg, over 65kg Children girls (14-15 years) categories: under 50kg, over 50kg Children boys (12-13 years) categories: -50 kg, -60 kg, over 60 kg Children girls (12-13 years) categories: -45 kg, over 45 kg

3.The kata competition will be held in two rounds in the following age categories:

girls: 6-7; 8-9; 10-11; 12-13; 14-15, 16-17 years old boys: 6-7; 8-9; 10-11; 12-13; 14-15, 16-17 years old

round 1 – is obligatory; the competitor performs a random-drawn kata round 2 – the competitor performs a self-chosen kata out of a provided selection. 4. Synchronic kata will be held with music accompany. In competition may be participate three persons teams (male and female or mix in any age), which must performed one of the kata from the preparate list of kata.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION A team can have any number of competitors in a given category, but 1 person may be participate in only one competition! In order to be allowed into the tournament, a participant must provide the following:

a valid sports health card a national ID card or a school ID card a parent’s or carer’s written permission to participate in The Sieradz

clean, white dogi; protectors required for particular categories entry fee of 10 Euro or 40 zl (Polish zlotys) (includes payment for dinner)

1. The Chief Referee is Shihan Andre Drewniak, 8 dan 2. In matters not specified in the regulations, decisions of the Chief Referee and

the organizer apply as rules 3. Referee teams will be chosen by the Chief Referee on the day of the

tournament 4. Entry for the spectators is free 5. The organizer reserves the right to change the regulations 6. In case of insufficient number of participants in a given category this category

can be cancelled or merged with another. In kata, male and female categories may be merged within an age group.

7. Complaints can be lodged with the Chief Referee after paying a bond of 100zl. 8. The bond is not returned if the complaint is rejected. 9. The entry fee is obligatory for participants. 10. For every competitor, it is obligatory to participate in the GI during the

tournament commencement ceremony. 11. Team scoring is calculated according to individual scoring in all categories:

1st place – 5 points 2nd place – 3 points 3rd place – 1 point

12. The organizer urges for the entry forms to be sent on time. 13. Any lost items will remain their owner’s own responsibility. 14. During the tournament, all competitors listed as admitted by 01.10.2014 are

covered by accidents insurance. 15. Competitors obtaining 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive trophies, medals and

diplomas. 16. Competitors who take further places will receive diplomas of participation. 17. It is required to put the participant’s club details on the entry form, together

with the tax identification number.
