    to enhance disparate

    SAP data

    The Situation

The Building Technologies Division of Siemens is a leading serviceprovider, system integrator and product vendor in the market for safe,energy-efcient and environment-friendly buildings and infrastructure.

Given the competitive landscape it operates in, accurate productpricing management is critical to the protability of Siemens BuildingTechnologies. The company employs a complex pricing strategy basedon parameters such as channel management, sales volume, market andcompetitive conditions. Price structure is based on these parameters. Asa result, a lack of efcient pricing management may impact the pricingstrategy effectiveness of the company.

Since pricing data was stored in disparate local SAP systems, centralizedvisibility and management proved to be a challenge. Though SiemensBuilding Technologies had previously implemented SAP’s ProcessIntegration (PI) tool, extracting country-specic data and not having acentralized view of this data was a major pain point.

Siemens Building Technologies Transforms its PricingData Management with State-of-the-art BI Solution
