2 Confi-!ra"ion In#"r!c"ion#

2.1 Connect to a Siae IDU

5n the SCT Tools bar? click Connect and enter the user name and 2assword? and

then click OK 1 The Equipment IP Address is not required for !S> connection? the

2.2 IDU and ODU Configuration

onfigure the 5D! and OD! 2ro2erties such as agent 56? remote element ta8le?

frequency? modulation and ca2acity? etc1

1 onfigure equi2ment 2ro2erties include "qui2ment 5D and Agent 561

o @ighlight the 5D! in SCT Equipment List Area? and then go to SCT

Tools bar click Equipment Properties1

o Set the Equipment ID as 2er T= Design1

o Set Agent IP Address same as the "thernet 56 address according to

NMS design1

o lick Apply to save the changes1

o The Restart 8utton is used to restart the 5D!1

o @ighlight the 5D! in SCT Equipment List Area? and then go to SCTTools bar click Tools Subnetor! Con"iguration #i$ard1

o lick Add Station in %e Con"iguration to add a new station1

o To add local equi2ment in the new station? highlight the new station

and click Add Element1 Set 56 as local equi2ment 56 and check

&anaged by SCT 8o=1 lick OK to save1

o To add remote equi2ment in the new station? highlight the new

station and click Add Element1 Set 56 as remote equi2ment 56 and

check Remote Lin! 8o=1 lick OK to save1

o hoose the station in the Actual Con"iguration' click Sent to send the

new configuration to the equi2ment1

o Set the &a/ Pt/ 0alue as 2er L"7 for radio T= level1


o 5n Settings ta8? set Carrier Only to O..? set it to ON will lose the

traffic1

o Set T/ Transmitter to O% to turn on the transmitter1o Set RT PS1 to O%? this will turn on the 2ower to the OD!1

2.3 DCN Port Configuration

To configure the DN interfaces? highlight the 5D! in SCT Equipment List Area? and

then go to SCT Tools bar click Equipment Communication Setup Port

2.4 Routing Table Configuration

Only Default 'ateway in the 7outing Ta8le is required? once the OS69 is switched

on? it will generate a 2ro2er routing ta8le1 To access the 7outing Ta8le? highlight

the 5D! in SCT Equipment List Area? and then go to SCT Tools bar click Equipment

o 5n the trial link setu2? the Near "nd Default 'ateway is the router

address1 The 9ar "nd Default 'ateway is the Near "nd 7adio 561

o The Near "nd 7adio 56 is same address as the Near "nd "thernet 56

since the 7adio A set as unnum8ered 561

o The interface cannot 8e set? it will automatic 2ick u2 8y the

equi2ment1 ;hen set the router 56 as gateway? the interface willchange to Lan1 ;hen set the Near "nd 7adio 56 as gateway? the

interface will change to Radio -A1

To configure the OS69? highlight the 5D! in SCT Equipment List Area? and then go

to SCT Tools bar? click Equipment Communication Setup OSP.1

Set the Area ID and Stub Area as 2er NMS Design1

the new Area1

Set Radio -A status to Acti>e? 8y highlight the Radio-A and

Set Lan status to Acti>e? 8y highlight the Lan and dou8le

click the Status1 lick Apply to save the changes1
