Updated equipment with a focus on safety - the current equipment gets hot in the summer, the ladders are tall/not good for smaller kidsto climb up, and the steps are too big with gaps.

I don't like how the playground area is on each side of the wading pool - I have two kids and if they want to go on separate play areas, it is harder to keep eyes on them. I would like to see the play area be all together.

My kids LOVE the zip lines - would love to see one here!

Just a refresh of the more worn equipment. Maybe it would be good for the big kid and little kid areas to be closer. That said, a lot of features like musical instruments wear down quickly and a lot of kids play here, so more durable equipment should be prioritized.

I live very close to Sibley and raised my son there! He’s 13 now and still meets friends there. I like that a child can find a place to “be” in this park. The shade tree, the equipment, the benches, the sports courts- all places to explore at any age. Please continue to offer equipment for all ages! From baby swings at 1,digging in the sand at 2 to the teeter totter at 4, the tire swing at 7,sitting on top of the curly slide at 10 to hanging on the swings at 13.

The play equipment is worn and the wood is breaking. We always loved climbing things so more of this is would be good. Playable art is NOT a good idea. It looks good but in our experience it’s wasteful. The experience is often more frustrating for kids. Practical play equipment is a much much better investment!

The basketball court should go. There is no supervision and seems to attract trouble. This has been going on for years. Loud music, fireworks, foul language. Because of its placement it is almost invisible to the park employees and neighbors. At one time an agreement was made to lock up the hoops at 9 or 10. This has not been happening. It appears it is always used by young adults so when families go down to play they can’t. Often these young adults are not from the neighborhood, often coming from as far as St Paul. The court adds nothing to the park and detracts a great deal.

We love the amenities available at Sibley! Our family and our neighbors regularly use just about every element of the park.

The playground is a little long in the tooth - I don't have any specific features I'd like to see added but when looking at the approved plan I'd recommend that the new playground be moved to the western edge along Longfellow. This location has far more shade. The current young-child playground receives so much so it's almost unusable due to the heat.

This also moves the wading pool further away from trees which ought to save the park board on labor cleaning leaves out of the water.

The one thing that would be a little sad is that loss of the tennis court as a useful paved area for teaching small children how to ride a balance bike.
