Born on the 22nd of October, 1927 and excelling in everythingthat he chose to do, Sri.S.P.Sampathy, the Founder of the SivaSivani Group of Educational Institutions was drawn towardsimparting education by a twist of fate in 1961, when he starteda school at Sanathnagar in a rented building. With a 25 paisecoin in his pocket and grit writ large on his face, our illustriousFounder braved all odds to establish and leave behind an empirewith assets worth several crores of rupees (though fragmentedin the last days of his life) and more importantly severalthousand pupils across the globe, contributing their mitetowards the peace, progress and prosperity of the human societyat large. In the words of Sri.S.P.Sampathy himself “Being theFounder of this group and having a major role to play in itsgrowth, my personality and mindset have become one withthat of the institution.”

Sri.S.P.Sampathy never believed in preaching withoutpracticing. He had often said that to surmount the innumerableobstacles in his/her path, every person, from any walk of lifemust be determined, courageous and hard working to besuccessful. It is this very same conviction of his, which led himto start a school at Banjara Hills, a remote part of Hyderabadin 1979 and now the most sought after place.

In search of quality infrastructure for his beloved students, the schools were shifted from one rented building to otherbigger and spacious ones over the years. Yet it did not satisfythe Chief of Siva Sivani. More than anything else, the fact thatproper playgrounds, which play a pivotal role in the all rounddevelopment of the child, were unavailable in any of the rentedbuildings. In order to provide this vital ingredient, theorganisation acquired land on the outskirts of the twin cities in1983 and later in 1989 at Kompally which now houses the SivaSivani Institute of Management.

Siva Sivani Institute of Management was started in 1992 withapproval from the All India Council for Technical Education,Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The Institute was initially housedin a building with traditional classrooms, which was not thoughtof as prudent by the progressive thinking Sri.S.P.Sampathy, inthe wake of the developments in leaps and bounds in the worldof education and particularly in Management Education andInformation Technology.

An idea of a paperless classroom was conceived in the late1990’s as a result of long and unending discussions over a coupleof months but providence struck an unexpected blow by wayof greed and disgruntlement coupled with evil designs by certainmembers of the group and the implementation of the dreamproject of Sri.S.P.Sampathy was forced to take a backseat. However, the zeal, enthusiasm and determination of this doyen

in education enabled the conversion of thedream into a reality when the mostadvanced, truly paperless classrooms, comparable to the best in the world wereinaugurated on the 22nd of October, 2002.Constant improvements have been madeover the years and are still being made tokeep the technology if not ahead of, at leastabreast with the ever changing times. Overa period of more than five decades,Sri.S.P.Sampathy and his organisation havecontributed their mite towards making theCountry and the World a better place to livein. There is no district in Andhra Pradesh,no state in India and no Country in the Worldwhere the alumni of Siva Sivani has notmade their presence felt. There is noprofession or sector from teaching to law, engineering to medicine, life sciences tosocial sciences, defense to business,Government to Private where the indeliblestamp of Siva Sivani has not left its mark.During his life time, Sri.S.P.Sampathy helda number of Honorary posts including thePresident of the Andhra Pradesh PrivateSchools Association, Convener ISC and ICSEExaminations of Hyderabad, AdvisoryMember on boards of various EducationalInstitutions to mention a few.

He was the recipient of the ‘Best VidyapeethAward’ presented by Her Excellency, TheGovernor of Andhra Pradesh, the ‘Arch ofExcellence Award’, the ‘Teacher of TeachersAward’ amongst innumerable otherappreciations and accolades.

Sri.S.P.Sampathy believed that teamwork isthe backbone of the colossal success thathe achieved and discipline is its mostimportant ingredient. He would say that allother virtues in a being or an organisationfor that matter, would inevitably andinvariably follow discipline. The saga of thisnoble soul came to an abrupt end on the11th of February, 2005. The legacy leftbehind by Sri.S.P.Sampathy in striving forthe cause of education is unparalleled anda daunting task for his successors in office. It is probably one in millions of people whostrive all their lives for a noble cause, buildan organisation worth millions of times theinitial capital invested, brave all odds andleave the material world with not an inchof land to call their own.

We at Siva Sivani rededicate ourselves towork towards the realisation of the dreamsof our great Founder.

The arduous saga ofSri S.P. Sampathyfrom Obscurityto Accolades

We at Siva Sivani Institute of Management, realize that the

world we live in is changing at an unprecedented rate. It

becomes important for us to introspect and question the

age old traditional methods. We are amongst the few

institutions which constantly monitor the changing trends

and are capable of materializing the plans into actions as

per the industry standards.

As Robert Frost quoted in his classic poetry, "Two roads

diverged in a jungle. I took the one less travelled", we

encourage the students to choose the less travelled path

even if it is difficult as this is sure to reap great benefits.

Over the last two years, it is with this background that the

students have been prepared for choosing the less traversed

path and also taught the art of converting all odds in their

favor.

The Course Structure has been made available in the

brochure for your perusal, which will help you understand

the extensive care that has been taken in designing the

structure to ensure that industry requirements are met.

Apart from having sound subject knowledge, the institute

emphasizes on working knowledge of IT and more importantly

the software skills in their respective specializations.

Special initiative is taken by the institute to provide

customized program for Soft Skill development too. All these

endeavors are taken up to ensure that the cost of training

to your esteemed organization would be substantially lower,

President and Chief Executive

(S.P.Sampathy’s Siva Sivani Group of Institutions)

both in terms of time and fiscal resources.

As a team, we have trained our students

to not only perform exemplarily as

individuals but also excel while working

in teams. We have a pedagogy which

majorly comprises of practical application

of the theories and in this light we provide

opportunities to the students to carry out

research projects in various organizations.

We aim at producing globally competitive

management graduates which is possible

only when they closely understand the gap

between theory and application. For this

understanding, a series of guest lectures

and seminars are conducted where the

industry experts directly interact with the

students in addtions to the Industry

Experience Faculy, delivering value at the

Institute.

Our seasoned and vibrant teams not only

prepare them to be better managers but

also good human beings. We take pride in

sending out the best quality management

graduates from the institute each year to

the corporate world that are duly trained

to help your organization reach great

heights.

This brochure presents to you profiles of

young professionals from the PGDM (Triple

Specialization), PGDM (Marketing), PGDM

BIFAAS (Banking, Insurance, Finance and

Allied Services) and PGDM (Global

Business) who are educated and skilled in

their respective functional areas. We as

an institute are sure that these young

professionals will surely bring laurels to

the organization that they join and also

to their Alma Mater. We promise to serve

the Society, Nation and the World at large

by giving our best.

Siva Sivani strongly believes in motivating the students to

become leaders by giving them ample opportunity to explore

what they have within them. In order to provide such

opportunities Siva Sivani has designed various Extra Curricular

Activities to enable the students to understand the

importance of coordination, teamwork, group dynamics,

oneness etc. To give a structure to these, SSIM has named

these activities uniquely starting the first letter of every

activity with an ’S’ as in ‘Siva Sivani’. The programmes are

detailed as follows :

SNEHA - The Alumni Meet of SSIM

We at Siva Sivani strongly believe that the Alumni Association

has a greater role to play in the developmental activities of

the Institute. To strengthen our relationship with the former

students of our Institute, we conduct various activities and

invite them to our campus. This gives a feeling to every

student of SSIM that they are still a part of the SSIM family.

SPANDANA- A spontaneous Re-

sponse (Freshers’ Party)The institute strongly believes in inter

personnel relations and teamwork in or-

der to give a feeling of oneness to the

freshers. The seniors conduct ‘Spandana’

to warmly and formally welcome their

Juniors into the family of Siva Sivani. Vari-

ous competitions are held and a panel of

judges select and award the titles - Mr.

and Miss SPANDANA.

SAMSKRITI - Traditional

the students of Siva Sivani. The 2-day mega event brings

in managing such a big event. Many business houses sponsor
