Non Return Valve

Non Return Valves are automatic in operation and designed to prevent reversal of flow in fluid piping systems. The valves are maintained open by the flow of fluid in the forward direction and are closed by back pressure of the fluid or by the weight of the closing mechanism or by a spring force. Various designs are available as listed below.

The range of check valve sizes range from 50mm to massive units of 1200mm dia. The swing check variation is a low pressure drop unit based on a hinged disc. This type of valve is suitable for low velocity applications with infrequent velocity reversals. The valve can be fitted with external weights to allow faster closure to reduce water hammer or shock pressure on flow reversal. External systems can also be included to force the valve closed in the event of a local fire.

The Dual Plate Check Valve employs two-spring-loaded plates hinged on a central hinge pin. When the flow decreases, the plates close by the action of torsion spring before flow reversal takes place. This design offers the twin advantages of No Water Hammer and Non Slam simultaneously. All features put together make the Dual Plate Check Valve as the most efficient & versatile design. Sluice Valve

Gate valves or Sluice Valves as they are commonly called, provide optimum performance in conditions where high flow efficiency, tight shut off and long service is required. Ideal for a variety of services within many industries including chemical pulp and paper power and wastewater. For complete versatility the range includes fabricated, forged, and cast designs.

Operation:Raising a Gate Valve or a Sluice Valve allows water to flow through it. When a Gate Valve is partly lowered we can control the speed or pressure and the volume of water that flows through it. When the Gate Valve is fully closed, the water flow is stopped. 

Usually a Mechanism drives the Gate Valve Up or Down. This may be a simple, hand-operated, worm drive or rack and pinion drive, or it may be electrically or hydraulically powered.

Butterfly Valves

Butterfly Valve is a type of flow control device, typically used to regulate a fluid flowing through a section of pipe. The valve is similar in operation to a ball valve. A flat circular plate is positioned in the center of the pipe. The plate has a rod through it connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the plate either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the plate is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is always induced in the flow regardless of valve position.

Faced and drilled to IS : 1538. On demand BS to TD/E, IS-6392 as per DIN, ANSI B.16.5 possible, Resilient Seal material (Nitrile, EPDM, Silicon, Viton Rubber).

The temperature range of tight shutt off valves is 200C to 1200C. Temperatures up to 1600C are possible but the details of process fluid have to be considered before selecting the resilient Seal Material. Normally the maximum operating pressure is limited to 5-15 kg/cm2 for valves up to 600 mm dia and to 10 kg/cm2 For valves of higher sizes. The maximum working pressure is limited by maximum operating temperature. Butterfly valves are available in Wafer type, Flanged type short and long body.

An Air Valve is present on Water Supply pipelines to release the unnecessary Air that is present in the water pipelines. This is also knows as a Ball Valve. Air valves have a ball which rises with the rise in the level of water and stops the flow of air outside the pipeline hence locks the door.

Sluice Gates
