EXHIBITOR RULES & REGULATIONS

DATES AND TIMES MOVE IN: THURSDAY September 26 8:00am - 5:00pm THE SHOW: FRIDAY September 27 9:00am – 6:00pm SATURDAY September 28 9:00am – 5:00pm MOVE-OUT: SATURDAY September 28 5:01pm - 11:59pm

SET UP AND REMOVAL: NO move-ins will be allowed after 9:00am on Friday, September 27, 2013. Tear down CANNOT commence prior to 5:01pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013 and all equipment and display materials must be removed by 11:59 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013 or be liable for removal at the exhibitor’s expense. If your materials are not removed from the show floor by 11:59 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013 they will be removed by the show services company and shipped by the official carrier at the exhibitor’s expense. Exhibitors may enter the exhibit hall every morning at 8am, however all exhibits are to be setup by Show Opening. A limited number of dollies and carts are available to use on a first come, first serve basis. Exhibitors are strongly urged to remove all cartons and cases of product from the building immediately after the close of the show. While Show Management will take all reasonable security measures to safeguard small items, immediate removal of such items will minimize the possibility of loss from pilferage.

PLEASE NOTE: Special instructions under the heading of “Insurance.”

BOOTH RENTAL INCLUDES: • 10’ wide x 10’ deep • 8’ high backwall drape; 3’ sidewall drape (drape colors are black/silver) • Trade Show registrations for (4) booth personnel

Note: All Sidewalls will be 3’ high to the aisle. Please bring appropriate shelving, backwall etc.

BOOTH ALLOCATION Booths are allocated to sponsors first, then on a first-come, first-serve basis for exhibitor requests. Show management reserves the right to allocate space in the case of any discrepancies and to re-allocate or change space as deemed necessary.

EXHIBITOR CHECK IN: Exhibitors MUST check in at the Trade Show Registration Desk. Trade Show packages can be picked up at this time; this package will include your name badges, and last minute updates.

ELECTRICAL SERVICE If power is required – please order through the order form enclosed.

Electrical Services are provided by Stampede Park.

*Onsite orders are subject to a 25% rate increase and must be paid in full by cash or credit card. Save and order in advance! Please see the enclosed forms. Onsite orders are to be placed with the Show Office.

SPACE APPLICATIONS Show Management reserves the right to accept or reject applications at any time.

PAYMENT OF EXHIBIT SPACE MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE September 13, 2013.

ALTERATIONS TO BUILDING Painting, nailing, drilling, or screwing to the floor, walls or any part of the building is not permitted except by prior written approval of both Show Management and Building Management.

BOOTH CONSTRUCTION A. HEIGHT Inline booths may reach a maximum of 8’ in height. Island booths may be over 8’ in height. Perimeter booths may be 10’ in height.

B. SIGNAGE Must be incorporated into your exhibit design and height of 8’. Signage must not appear in adjacent exhibits.

C. DRAPE All booths will be supplied with 8’ high draping at the back and 3’ high on the sides. No draping is allowed on the aisle side of the booths. Any variation or changes in the standard draping are at the exhibitor’s expense. Nothing is to be pinned or stapled to drape - “s” hooks are available from CanNorth Shows Inc. Please be courteous of your neighbor when designing your booth space.

SAMPLES, SOUVENIRS AND SOLICITING Soliciting of business and/or distribution of samples and souvenirs will not be permitted in the aisles, the parking lots or in another exhibitor’s booth, but must be confined to the exhibitor’s own booth space.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT Regulations made by the Labour Electrical safety branch, provide that all electrical equipment operating at the show be approved. Equipment that is approved by the CSA and bears that association’s mark of approval is acceptable to the commission.

CUSTOMS Exhibit booths and equipment-from outside Canada, may be brought in for the purpose of the show only without payment of duty under standard procedure. Please consult with Canada Customs.

HANDLING OF EXHIBITS, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT Should your display require the use of heavy duty unloading equipment, you are requested to notify Management at least two weeks in advance of Show time so availability arrangements can be made.

Costs of renting and operating such equipment are the responsibility of the exhibitor. Exhibitors who can supply their own trucks and dollies are urged to do so.

CanNorth Shows Inc. does provide forklift service and a limited number of dollies on a first come first served basis.

PLEASE NOTE:

Dollies will not be permitted on the aisle carpet during Show hours. NO EXCEPTIONS

INSURANCE Show Management, CanNorth Shows Inc, The Creative Stitches & Crafting Alive!!.. Show, The BMO Centre, or The City of Calgary, will not be responsible for injury to persons, loss or damage of products, exhibits, equipment or decorations by fire, accident, theft or any other cause while in the show building or its environs.

Note: Exhibitors must consult with their own insurance broker to ensure that they are insured against all risks to either personnel or equipment and public liability.

SECURITY BMO Centre offers on-site security 24 hours a day however they are not restricted to the show space. Security guards will be on site 24-hours a day and in the building during the opening hours of move-in, show hours and move-out. Exhibitors are responsible for security in their booth for the full duration of the show. During move-in and move-out, please have a staff member in your booth at all times.

Show Management, however cannot assume any responsibility for losses incurred from pilfering or any other causes.

FIRE REGULATIONS & FLAMEPROOFING For further information on fire regulations, please contact the Show Facility.

DRAWS OR CONTESTS Exhibitors offering draws in-booth are required to provide their own entry forms, draw boxes and signage for their prize draws.

We are pleased to offer a discounted parking rate to Exhibitors that pre-purchase parking

permits 14 days prior to the first move-in date of your event.

(subject to availability, parking may sell out sooner).

Benefits of pre-purchasing parking permits

The discounted rate is $13.33 per day, per permit plus GST.

Available at Parking Booth when exhibitor arrives.

Additional important information regarding pre-ordered Exhibitor parking permit(s)

follows:

1. Orders must be received by Event Services 14 days prior to the first move-in date.

We are unable to process parking orders received after this deadline. If you miss this

deadline, please purchase permits from the main park gates or the Exhibitor entrance (14th

Avenue – Half block West off Olympic Way S.E.) upon arrival to your event. For your

convenience, on-site permits may be purchased at the Exhibitor parking entrance or main

parking gate locations by credit card, cash or cheque.

2. Parking rates apply to move-in, event and move-out days.

3. Permits must be ordered for a minimum of two days.

4. Permits will be issued from the Exhibitor’s Entrance (during the specified move-in dates and

times). Refer to your Exhibitor’s Information from your show manager for the move in

schedule.

5. Permits are not mailed out.

6. Complete the attached Event Service order form, using the formula below.

7. Refunds are not available after processing.

8. Permits will be issued by company name unless otherwise stated.

9. Confirmation of parking permits only will be sent via email or fax from the parking
