the reasons why cell phone should not be allowed in school.

This site pointed out that most administrators regarded cell phone use as disruptive and distracting, and have implemented policies that prohibit using them on school grounds.

This site also provide two pools, the first one asking: “Should schools allow cell phones? “The second asking: “Should you allow your child to take a cell phone to school?”

In addition, the links embedded within the site directed you to baseball advertisements.

The Cons: Students often forget to turn off their

phones in class, and ringing noises or text-message alerts disrupt learning.

Even if set to silent, cell phones can still cause distraction, since

text messaging has become a high-tech method of passing notes in school.

Students have been known to use cell phones to call in bomb threats to schools, to avoid or condense class time.

In the event of a widespread crisis, rampant cell phone use can overload communication systems and render them inoperable.

Student cell phone networks add to the spread of rumors and misinformation, which can be harmful during a widespread crisis.

Phones can be used as cheating devices during exams.

The long-term physical effects of cell phone use are still undetermined.

It furthers stated that studies have found that text messages regularly, over a long period of time, could cause repetition strain which may cause both short and long term injuries. but did not provide its source of reference.

The cons: They may be used for defaming,

creating pornographic content, organizing criminal activities

Students use cell phone as a source of bullying others (Cyber bully) which makes it difficult to detect and control.

And by allowing high school students to use the phone between classes and at lunch reduced the violations and phone confiscations rate significantly.

communication. Some use it as their clock,

camera, planner, entertainment system, news source and encyclopedia.

The good thing about this site is that it did not contain any advertisements.

The Pros: Teens believes that their cell

phone provided a sense of security while on the go.

Cell phone has become their mobile safety net when needing a ride.

Getting important information for school projects.

Helping out someone in trouble.

Teens viewed their cell phone as the key to their social life.

Teens carry cell phones to have access to friends, family and current events.
