WHAT IS IT?

Shot putt is a track and field event

throwing a heavy ball as far as possible.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SHOT

There are two differents weights :

For men : the men's shot weighs7.260 kilograms.

For women: the women's shot weighs 4 kilograms

The shot put ball is made of different kinds of materialsMaterials used include iron, cast , solid steel, stainless steel, brass, and synthetic materials like polyvinyl.
