The ShoreSouth Section
Extensive public consultation on a set of draft designs took place during April this year. The main aim of these
proposals was to reduce trac along the Shore and promote a stronger Café Culture in the area. The feedback
received from the consultation has been used to develop the nal design which is now being presented.
The project is funded by:
• The Council’s Roads Maintenance Capital
• The Council’s Neighbourhood Environment Projects
• The Council’s Neighbourhood Revenue
• Heritage Lottery Fund • Historic Scotland
Works are due to start on site in October 2011 and should be complete by April 2012.
