The purchase of fruits from the co-operative provides an income for 400 families to live on for months. The revenue coming from the harvest of the baobab fruit considerably increases the quality of life for the local population and the co-operative ensures that the revenue is shared in a fair way.

Jua fruits comes from sustainable and socially responsible farming cooperatives in Uganda and Burkina Faso which all share the same philosophy: promoting sustainable agriculture as well as human emancipation: social security system, micro-finance, paid maternity leave for women.

JUA redistributes part of its profit to the Refugee Next Door Association to support development programs in Uganda through 2 nursery schools and primary school with more than 400 children, a vocational training centre and a farmer field school.

Rombouts and Brussels Airlines are joining forces to protect the Virunga National Park in The Democratic Republic of the Congo. This collaboration will improve the economic development and protection of the local environment.

The poverty of the people living around the Virunga National Park leads to poaching and deforestation. This poses a serious threat to the animals that inhabit the park, such as the critically endangered mountain gorilla.

Rombouts & Brussels Airlines have invested in projects that will help the local community find employment on sustainable co�ee plantations. With our economic support, poaching and deforestation are no longer a necessity to survive.
