Shooting Schedule

I feel it is extremely important to have a shooting schedule as without it there is a great possibility when you come to filming you either miss shots out or aren’t organised enough to get all the filming done needed and end up not finishing.

Sunday 12th November This part of the filming is the performance of the band, in the empty car park. I picked this timing as I felt the car park would be empty and I would be able to shoot with no complications. I filmed this part early as knew there was a possibility of going back to fill in bits that I had missed and needed to reshoot. I will use a whole range of shots in this, Long Shot, Mid Shots and Close ups. I also plan to use camera movement in the form of tracking, I aim to do this by driving past slowly in a car. I also aim to use depth of field to create interesting videos.

Sunday 19th November I again picked this day as I felt the car park would be clear, so I could reshoot anything I felt needed improving. The only complication to reshooting could be that everything had to be in the same place, the drums etc and everyone had to wear the same thing but I feel I can overcome this obstacle. Again the shots I will use in this shoot are similar as they are of the same thing.

Thursday 27th November On this section of filming I will film most of not all of the narrative. Parts of it will be filmed in an abandoned warehouse as this emphasises the idea of loneliness. Again I will use a range of shots but many close ups to get across the emotion, I will also play with depth of field to create technically good videos. For the other part it will be filmed in and out of the woods, including a fire yet again the actor being on their own. In the scene I will use many over the shoulder shots therefore showing of the views and how vast the world is, again getting across the point of loneliness.

Monday 1st December This will be my very last day filming and it will be a catch up day, anything that doesn’t quite fit together in the filming or doesn’t look as I hoped. Throughout the whole filming I will be using a tripod to keep the footage steady and professional however in many videos that I have seen, some of the band performance footage is filmed by hand, and free moving so this is one this I will take inspiration from.
