Inspiration can also be drawn from roofs and detailing within the town. The green copper clock tower on the high street contrasts with the surrounding brickwork and painted stucco.

4. Concept Scheme
The use of different materials betweeb the central linking volume and the peripheral buildings establishes a heirarchy of form and colour.. This brakes down the visual impact of the volume and simultaneously creates a diverse development for residents and integrates the colours of nature into the building - green elements to completment the verdant site and surroundings, and black elements to contrast with and highlight the green.
